Does anyone have the tasks from this, or know where to get them?

 Don't you know? WANT=NEED!

Actually, I have become intrigued by recreating real life competition tasks in Condor. I learn a lot about tasksetting by doing that. I'm assuming that the Virtual HW tasks did much the same, and duplicated the real world tasks for that year, including the weather conditions.

I found the RL Hahnweide Segelflugwettbewerb 2006 tasks here:

http://hww06.hahnweide.com/en/tasks.php

and laid out the first two Standard Class tasks, however, I have no way of finding out what the real life weather was like on those days, so I had to just make something up. I thought I would try to find the 2007 Virtual tasks, and hope that they are a reflection of their RL counterpart. I haven't been able to find the RL tasks on that website.

Thanks very much for your assistance, Stefke! There is no hurry for this, take your time.

Thank you very much, Stefke, for digging those up. They appear to be from the 2008 VHWW, based on the dates set in the fpl. But it seems that the Virtual HW contest did not use the same tasks as the Real Life HW, possibly because the RL tasks were too long for a virtual competition, I don't know.

I have since found the Real Life HW 2008 tasks here:

http://wolf-hirth.de/hww08/tasks.php

and also the competitors' IGC files here:

http://wolf-hirth.de/hww08/26_res_std.php

So I now have quite a bit of stuff to sift through. Possibly I can use the weather set in the Virtual tasks, and just lay out the Real Life task from the above website. There may be enough info in the IGC to set up the weather fairly close to RL and I will see how that compares to what was done in these VHWW tasks.

Thanks, again!

No, I´m Stefan Kessler, and nearly double age to Steffen

I tried in vHHW08 to make the weather close to the rl task.

In 07 the rl weather was very bad...
Hope that we have good weather in 2009

Thanks, that's good to know. For 2008, I may be able to find historic data to fill in the gaps if needed. Looks like there was a blue day in there.

Thanks, again, Stefan
