Bavaria - South Germany

Im working on a small area of Bavaria and when it is finished I will release it so that you can decide whether you like like the style or whether you think things should be tweaked (I would rather release a little scenery and hear critisism than release a large one and find people dont like it, especially when each tile is 8192* ) . Once I have heard other people's ideas I will set about a larger area, covering germany's mountainous border with austria and as far north as Munich.
I intend to release the larger version at the same time as my pyrenees scenery which is ~70% complete (just 3D objects to place, thermal map to make and minor roads to finish).

The demo should be ready in about a week, but dont hold me to that because it might take longer :!:

Those field textures look nice .
But can you try to make the change between fields and green a bit softer? .

To me there seems to be too much difference in the colours between the photorealistic textures of the plains and the synthetic over-saturated colours of the hills. The hill colours need to be far less saturated to blend in better. The texture of the plains looks great, but the two areas really contrast eachother too much. Just my 10c worth. :?

Ok I have taken note of that and have changed the terragen settings, I will post some shots when I have a few tiles rendered..

(also the fluorescent green colour at the bottom on the mountains will dissappear, it is just a reference to see where the flatter ground is  )

Judging by the way the poll results are going you just want the full thing

Heres the final area being covered and some of the airfields that will be included. The scenery will go further into the alps in austria than was originally planned, but hopefully this way it will be more exciting!
