Really nice tasks and good races! I am not real life pilot like 99%(?) of the competitors but still had fun and excitement. My best position was 6th on day 37 and I am pretty proud of it. :) Thank you.

Well I think you are one of 1% who arent real life pilots  (Think most of the participants in Sbc also fly in real )

Congratulations to the winners and all participants - very well done!
Thank you all for your kind words .

Unfortunately, we are very busy at the moment, so sorry for the late reply. It was (mostly  ) a pleasure to organize the cup.

The scoring is now ready and you have time for protest until Saturday.
On sunday we will publish the prize giving on the SBC homepage.

Our next project is now the 02VHWW08.

Thank you all, have a nice week,

SBC Team

I'd like to protest against the following pilots:

Tim Kuijpers
Karsten Leucker
Jeroen Jennen
Christoph Heidemeyer

I believe they all used either joystick or mouse to control the plane during the competition, which is definately a very unfair trick. I also have seen several of them flying below clouds, even circling (yes, circling!) under some of them! They have all been seen flying along mountain tops, definately a very unsafe procedure, as cumulus granitus is known to be very dangerous. These ways of flying doesn't give the rest of us any chance. I call for the above mentioned pilots to be disqualified and banished from their home countries.

Many thanks to you guys for your excellent effort in SBC08. I think the online soaring community has a debt of gratitude to pay for the services you have both offered to provide such entertainment at such a low cost.

This was my first online gliding competition experience, I learnt a lot and had a great amount of fun at the same time. Work and family commitments kept me from flying the races after day 30, and at times it was hard to make an early or late server to get the task in before work or after the family was asleep at night.

I'll be back next year for sure....I trust you guys will find a way to make SBC09 available to the online racing community.

Cheers

Finally got the time to say thanks to you guys! Again you made my sun- and thursduy's enjoyable!

Congrats to the winners! I think the competition was much more fiercer and closer than other years. You guys are getting to good for me...

Say Alex ol'man....maybe we should create and old farts competition...

Already sad feeling knowing that there will not be race on next thursday, but I really hope that we can feel this SBC competition exitement also next season.

And thanks for all SBC08 participants for great company.

Could I protest about my flying skills, or the lack of them? ;)

Yes that is what I tried to say. (Ok well, I have flown 2 minutes from backseat of twoseater but I don't think that counts :) http://www.kolumbus.fi/~w410925/kymi/)
