Hi,

You just need to fly again and perform the gain, that's all! No need to fly the 300km/3 hours (but you must fly on the same Flight plan file)

Hi Drgonzo

After release a high speed glide to the ridge to set a nice low point.

I found wave between TP's 2 and 3, got to 6800m. Good luck.

hi guys,

i got it,

i met the wave about 2km after mt blanc so i had a very very fast homerun.
thx a lot for support
its quite strange to fly a race without startTP, TP's and so...
next are the distance races. are there some nice taks for download?
whats the maximum wind speed if i create some for the db?

 :D

Well lucky old you! I can't find this mysterious wave anywhere near TP2 or TP3. As there is no alternative height task for the Diamonds ( as there is for the Gold) I am stuck. Got round the course OK with bit of bother here and there. At no time did I detect anything like wave and the cloudbase is too low for the Diamond climb. I did get to 5000m by circling round a cloud in 1m/sec but no higher. What now?

Tip: There is a very big mountain on your way ;)
Tip 2: You don't need to catch the wave to finish the task

I saw "Old wooden ship pilot" in your signature: hmm, I didn't test the task with ASK13! (But it could be a good challenge!)

I never give up. I had another go at this height this evening and as you can see below I succeeded by getting to 6460m in what seemed like wave but might just have been a big ridge. I'm used to seeing lenticulars when I'm flying wave. :) This is a jolly difficult task for us golden oldies who are not used to storming around mountain tops, but I enjoyed the challenge. Roll on the 750 km diploma.

@BOD,

Challenge accepted. I did the height diamond in the K13 this morning. Not easy and it was very slow at the top, but I made 6000+m asl from a 790m start. ftr available for anyone interested. I fiddled the parameters slightly to compensate for the lack of a PDA in K13. When the wooden gliders arrive in the plane pack (where is the new plane pack? I thought it was due out by now) I will do the whole thing again just for fun.

Much more like RL than whizzing around at 200Km/h
