I have identified now 79 airfields for NWPoland and have some questions

1. Is it ok to use the characters like I have done? (f.x. l for ł )
2. Are the names of the airfields correct?
3. I found an airfield called i temporary MAJDAN, do someone now the correct name?
MAJDAN.jpg
If there are wishes for more airports, please name them, they will be added.

Thanks for any answer

Yes - it's correct ;-)

If you think about airfields that can be use by gliding operation use list from link that i put previous -> https://www.ais.pansa.pl/publikacje/aip-vfr/
You have there correct names of every airfield and ICAO "4 letter name" For example EPBA - ALEKSANDROWICE

Majdan is not an airfield - its more like landing place - if you are interested in every landingplace (not only airfields) you can use this page -> https://lotniska.dlapilota.pl/ (on top right corner you have menu and can choose type of airfield: kontrolowane = controled; niekontrolowane = uncontroled; ewidencjonowane = registered; nieewidencjonowane = notregistered; wojskowe = military; letter H is for helipad) - data on this page can be not actual, the best source is link that i mentioned above.

Thanks a lot for your answer. I followed your link and used the civil airports (not military, not airlines). And I took the matching airports from Podkarpackie.

Deleted now the big one from Warszawa (Okecie), it's not what I want and Majdan too. So there are 77 airplanes left I will make. But if there is someone wishing an airport, I will of course add it.

From the russian sector I picked 3 small airports from the map around Kaliningrad, and I found out, that the old glider school (1920th - 40th) Rossitten (today Rybatschi) is on my landscape, very close to the border, but flyable. So I replaced the todays forest with an airfield, like it could be today, if it would still exist. Have had a lot of fun making it yesterday ;-)

Please include EPPR - "Pruszcz Gdanski" - home of Aeroclub of Gdansk - it is a shared military/civil airfield. We do fly gliders there.

Found this in maymars links. I think all military airports marked with NTL are used not only for military, so I will add them too (if on the landscape)

Does someone know the airport Sieradz in Poland? Made it at the green place, but looks like it's in the village. Seen from the texture the 3 red ones are possible too, very short places all, needs a strong Wilga.

Thanks for any hint

Google is your friend, the green one:
Siederadz.JPG
With 480x25m this is rather an UL airfield than a proper glider field.

Sorry for late reply - yes club grass airfield is parallel to the north from concrete - you can see white start signs even on the google map: https://www.google.com/maps/place/54%C2 ... 18.6770051 . Official directions are 09-27 (not 10-28 as at some pictures) as it was changed few years ago due to magnetic declination change - just making it parallel to the concrete runway will be perfect.

Maybe this page: https://lotniska.dlapilota.pl/ will help you mapping airfields - for example https://lotniska.dlapilota.pl/pruszcz-gdanski-aeroklub is EPPR.

It was of course not a late reply, thanks a lot for it. I unfortunately can't see anything on the google site, not in Firefox or in Edge. Maybe google has changed something and shows this only in Chrome ...

I understood that the position of the runway is ok, like I made it. The pl-side shows it nearly that way

try at this portal - it have orthophoto layer (ortofotomapa) from right menu. you can use standard or high res map (Wysokiej rozdzielczości)
https://mapy.geoportal.gov.pl/imap/Imgp ... ?gpmap=gp0
just find Gdańsk and scrool to zoom in - at some level map will switch to orthophoto

Thanks, that's very good. I will use it in future. And Gdansk has the runway exact there where I made it ;-)

Way back, like almost 100 years ago, the glider pioneers were flying out of Grunau, which is now Jezow Sudecki. It's located in the SW corner of Poland and is where mountain waves were discovered. I think it would be nice to experience that area through Condor. I can't seem to find the airports they used on existing landscapes. The ones, I think, I'm looking for are Airport Jezow Sudecki and Lotnisko Jelenia Gora which hosts the Aeroklub Jeleniogorski.

Language is an issue for me as I'm not used to things called different names. Like this area is located in the Giant Mountains that = Karkonosze that = Riesengebirge. Here the Rocky Mountains are just that.

Thanks
Found the place after downloading the texture so far. The place has 3 directions to start, but it's unfortunately not possible to make all three, because they are to close and can't be choosed in the filght plan. So I decided to make the one in direction east (110 degrees). Have not flattened the area for not to destroy the hill. There are two possibilities to simulate a bungee start: start airborn 50 m or with the winch and release after leaving the ground. The picture is from an airborn start (forrest map isn't finished yet)
