North UK2
Re: North UK2
The final (I hope) version 1.0 of the scenery is now available on Condor Club:
http://www.condor-club.eu/sceneries/197/
Although I recommend the use of the 'Condor Updater' as the best way to load the scenery:

Re: North UK2
Stunning Scenery. Well done and thank you for all your hard work.
I will look through when I have the time and help with object modelling; but it's completely amazing as is.
We already have pre-solo and early solo pilots from our club joining our weekly races, which hopefully results in them taking up XC flying for real and joining us doing real life comp flying
Having this scenery now freely available will increase the number of participants at our Thursday evening meets.

Hi Andy - Just to let you know, some NVGC-LYV -CRLand saltby members are getting together for condor tasks. We flew a real life task using N UK2 yesterday -SKF/STB/LTR . Superb site seeing trip and really brought home the work you have put into the landscape.
Many thanks for a great job.

Drax power station looking good with new ground and 3D textures.
New patch for North-UK2 coming soon:
Additional 20 runway at Sutton Bank
Some terrain tweaks at Sutton Bank and added 3D objects
Water Texture fault near Llanbedr fixed
Improved ground textures in some areas
Hopefully in the next 7 days.

Re: North UK2
I have managed to do a extract from OSM World of a part of the city of York. Converted it to an object file with the OSM World tool. Imported it into Wings 3D. Deleted all but the buildings. Separated the roofs from the buildings to give two separate objects. UV mapped each object. Made very rough textures for the walls and roof. Converted into a c3d file and placed it into the North-UK scenery.
Not perfect by a long way, but wanted to see what is possible. In the photo all the buildings are just one object. York Minster is a separate object.
Taken a long time as first attempts had bad flashing effects, which was cured by giving the roof object some thickness.
Would this in any way enhance the Condor Flight experience or does it just look naff?
