Thanks to Ed, 3 new tasks have been added for the silver, gold and diamonds badges !
Another Gold task on Big Pyrénées is awaiting validation.

I've tried the Jura-Mont Blanc Gold badge task twice now and on both tracks I get this error: Warning: Invalid flight track: Parameters mismatch.

I did not change the task, I just loaded it and then started the flight.

There's one person who did complete the gold test on that map: https://www.condor-club.eu/graduate/0/?id=12712

I ended up just using the Teheran task instead, it worked fine.

That Link shows Wolf112 completed his Silver on Jura-Mont Blanc but did his Gold on Big Pyrenees, Which I am downloading now to try. The Gold badge on Jura-Mont Blanc may be broken

Whoops! I hadn't seen that a Big Pyrénées 2 gold test had been added and then failed at reading comprehension enough to not recognize that Jura-Mont Blanc isn't the same as Big Pyrénées.

I have identified some incorrect data in the .fpl file that is downloaded from CC.
I could upload a corrected file, but I'm not sure if it would correct anything for existing flights.
I have contacted BOD1 by PM asking for support.

Until then I guess it's better not to use this task for the gold bage. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I fixed the FPL, FTR seem to be accepted now.

Quick question regarding how height gain is calculated... I keep missing the height gain requirement even though I definitely have been flying well above the 3000m requirement...

I understand that the 3000m gain is triggered by a 100m loss in height... my question is, are we limited to when we can set this 100m loss data point?

Does that race have to start?
Do I have to have gone through the start checkpoint after race start?
Or is it simply 100m loss from take-off?

I have flown the Mont-Blanc gold badge at least 3 times now always failing the height test - ugh... though, I am not yet bored with this scenery, and I am getting better and better at finding that difficult wave :)

Cheers!

Thanks!

I have taken a look at the last flight you posted (July 17th)
http://www.condor-club.eu/analysis/0/;j ... ank=594353

If you look at the barograph at the bottom of that page, you can see that the 100 m loss has been taken into account before start, however, your gain was only 2958.66 m. IMHO you should have been more patient, you missed it by a little less than 42 m (135 ft).

Clue for next time : in order to validate the altitude gain you don't need to complete (nor even to start) the distance task, nor the duration task.
Just fly the ridge to the place where you found wave last time and climb.

Don't forget that the altimeter in Condor simulates pressure altitude, which is error prone, you should take some safety margin, and, in case you had a problem between feet and metres note that 3000 m = 9740 ft, don't leave the wave before you have climbed at least 10000 ft above the lowest point after release from the tow plane.

Just uploaded a new flight. Finally passed the 3000m mark and CC shows my gold badge! dnace!

That lift above 2700m ASL is not easy to find... at least for a newbie like myself.

I'm supremely jealous of all those that actually live by - and get to fly around places like this.

My local field is 90m ASL, and the highest peak within 100km is probably 200m. Also, we have to deal with 90% humidity in the summer.

Let's trade places!

I have been trying to Start this Task: https://www.condor-club.eu/showtask/0/?id=11477 but with no success.

I get close to the turnpoint helper, turn view to the left wing, I can see the wing and the helper and press S and at the end of the flight It doesn't detect the Start when I verify the flight details.

What Am I doing wrong? I am flying with the Default Plane and Settings.
