Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
I parked by the runway whilst getting some food (it's a bit of an early start in the UK and I'd rushed just to be able to join in time) for 45 minutes - came back and immediately got bsod. Never mind I thought, I'll fly offline and see if I'll be allowed to use that flightrack.
Set off making really good progress, got to first TP with no major deviations, but wondered why it wasn't active and couldn't get condor to tell me I'd passed it.
Looked again at the map I had printed - decided to call it a night when I realised that I had it upside down...

Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
Last night, I finished 2nd on my server, average speed of 164km/h. I thought I'd had quite a good flight. Looked on the overall results for the day.........86th
I don't normally complain about anything on here as I think everything is excellently run but having an "arcade" style task in the middle of a really good competition spoils things a bit!! Just my humble opinion for what it's worth. See you all on Thursday.

Don't give up 36 tasks, 21 are calculated - many chances to winCookie wrote:Last night, I finished 2nd on my server, average speed of 164km/h. I thought I'd had quite a good flight. Looked on the overall results for the day.........86th

I thought the same thing, when I reported to have 14 minutes to finish and thought it would be a good result - than PKM said 7 min
Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
I definately won't be giving up. I enjoy it too much for that I guess the organisers are trying to keep everyone happy, I just like more realistic tasks with realistic speeds as it was last Thursday with the winning speed under 100 km/h.
I won't be winning anything but very happy with my overall 17th spot at the moment. Looking forward to the next race. See you on the grid!!!

For Day n°9 AAT in NZ
if the timing is not right in this race, then we will cancel that day....
If so, my apologies ...
We'll decided tomorow, after result publishing Please wait...

I really don't understand this message, if the timing is not right!? I'm not first, but flew the maximum distance in 1 hour and 50 min..PhilippeFP wrote:For Day n°9 AAT in NZ

..however, there seems to be some problem with scoring. Some people who flew quite fast, have 642,16 pts.

it's just a guess. If the results tomorrow are ok then you must forget my message
Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
While I agree that the task should have been a bit longer (or time shorter), unless a significant number of pilots flew nearly maximum distance (at least 280 km) and still came in under minimum time I don't see a need to cancel. But just people reaching the end of the sector in an area which is shorter than maximum distance is not a reason to cancel. That's part of the skill of an AAT calculating how far you need to go, and to do it someplace you can go that far.PhilippeFP wrote:if the timing is not right in this race, then we will cancel that day....
Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
Noone got less as 1:45 with full distance, or 280 Arneh. I think he means condor time (NZ)

we agree
Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
PhilippeFP or BOD1,
Can you guys check the result of Patrick Hoeve, 3A?
He did do another tow after he finished task, same speed as 74.
Regards

Re: [SBC2012] Competition days
Robin forsters time is also way off because of retow after finish.
You should inform that tows after finish on AAT messes up the scoring.

When I dont fly online I fly ASW22!
(and now EB28..... )

Ahh, Patrick Hoeve (3A) also made a retow after finish! That explains his messed up score.j.theswede wrote:Robin forsters time is also way off because of retow after finish.

We flew together most of the flight, so he should have a top notch ranking!
