Wave
What are the settings required to get wave conditions for a task?

No, I didn't look for that one, but these work well:

http://www.jools2.ukfsn.org/Aosta%20wave.fpl
I'm not sure where I found them - I was just searching for "wave"...

Well, why didn't you ask...Juliet.Delta wrote: ...Were you able to find the flight track ZA: Wave at Pic de Bure?..
It wasn't filed for public access, and the CTDB didn't yet exist.
Remember, though, the task was created 2 years ago, for Condor at Patch level 7 or so.
Since then, the wave modeling in Condor has changed considerably, so the wave at the Pic de Bure may not be as pronounced as it used to be.
Nevertheless, try it.
It's a breath taking tour anyway.
Have fun.

Think positive, flaps negative.

Hi guys
This wave indeed works. Not a dramatic lift like you would experience in rl but that's maybe Condor. Does somebody know a good working wave in the central alps map? I would appreciate because that is a superior realistic map. I tried Innsbruck. In real it has a wave with strong south wind. You climb at the "Nordkette then fly over the valley south and find it. My friend did it abbreviated at 6000m because he had no oxygen. But in Condor I find only ridge lift with this conditions

For wave tasks,
Sign up to the Condor Club. Go to the TASKS tab and enter WAVE in the Search Criteria.
There are several there.

Re: Wave
Hi Tonyl
I did exactly that. There is no one for central Alps. Maybe you have one. I do just one near Bled. A guy did over11000m there. But climb rate is mostly under 1m/s. I gave up at 5900m. I did the diamond hight near Aosta. Repeated it ended up at 7500m. All same: the climb rate is nothing like what you expect. I never did it in rl. But I red about it a lot starting with the wave rides of Dr. Küttner. I think climb rates in waves exceed easily 5m/s. Maybe I miss something.

Re: Wave
Thanx Sm4llie for the latest Wave Settings suggestion. I guess these should be used the relevant scenery, i.e. Central Alps?
I'll try too Didi. Post a note when you've flown, for group info.
