What's wrong with this IGC?

This is the best place to exchange flight plans and flight tracks...

What's wrong with this IGC?

Post by Miracle » Wed Aug 01, 2007 8:44 am

Hi All!

SeeYou stops with no response while loading the IGC, generated by Condor 1.1.1. Infobox at below sign "Calculating: test_mCU.igc..." at this moment. The stop occures even if I leave only 2-3 lines of flight fix data, like this:
=== begin of test_mCU.igc ===
B1200004344244N00547233EA0128401284
B1200014344244N00547233EA0128401284
B1200024344244N00547233EA0128401284
=== end of test_mCU.igc ===
Fix data looks valid. What's wrong?

Thanx in advance.

If you attach the entire original .igc file here, I will have a look.

*Edit* Got it! :?

Yeah, didn't see it until I logged on. :oops:

The .IGC file seems OK and has a valid "G" record.
It loads and runs with no problems in StrePla, another flight planning/evaluation software package.

Could it be that your SeeYou software is corrupted or out of date?
The stripped-down-to-three-lines igc file above, did it still contain the "L" records?
Do other igc files load/run correctly in SeeYou?

No, it's properly registered and works fine.

No. I post all lines entire the file. Just 3 lines with "B" fix data.

Yes, all other igc-tracks loads/runs correctly, excluding two files, generated by patch 11: this one and track of another flight.

I beleave, that cause is in patch, so far as tracks, generated by Silent Wings and previos patches of Condor, works correctly. But I can't find what's wrong with this IGC.

Hmmm.... strange.

The igc file itself looks OK and as said, loads and runs perfectly in StrePla.
The last thing I can think of is, that your SeeYou version/release detects an illogical start altitude (1284 meters) due to the airstart you did.
Vinon is at ~275 m. and SeeYou knows that, from its Airport database.

SeeYou is RL software and airstarts are seldomly done in RL.... :wink:

You might try the same task, use aero tow or winch as your start method and see if SeeYou likes that better.
If not, you can email the igc file(s) to support@condorsoaring.com and ask the devellopers to have a look at it.

My version is older. Possibly it's the cause. Thanx.
