Wow, very impressive task, but im yet to achieve much more than some very basic 250km tasks. Got me internet fixed now, so hope for some longer ones soon 8) i.e. much more fun flying online :)

Managed it at an average speed of 209.3 kph!

I am exhausted!

I had at least 2 hours of usable light left and possibly 2.5 so another 550km would be possible I reckon.

:D

IGC file is at www.soaring.eclipse.co.uk/data/myigcfiles/3000km.igc

I only modified the task to change the launch from aerotow to winch. The rest was as per the original. ( 3000k off a winch launch :) )

According to SeeYou I spent about 35% of the time flying straight in rising air and over 60% in sinking air. In the entire 14.5 hours I only spent 16 minutes circling. This was usually on one of the large, almost vertical faces peaks on the north side of the northern valley. The most reliable wave was in the northern valley. Most of the flight was between 2500 and 4000m. I got over 4400m about 5 times but only for short periods, generally I'd say climbing that high was a waste of time.

I suffered quite badly from the 'mouse look bug' with the glider being thrown violently in pitch or roll perhaps 25 or 30 times during the entire flight. Not fun whan you are doing around 240 and worried about getting into flutter territory.

I did flutter 4 times but managed keep the wings on :)

Not on my computer. You can have mouse look on or off but you can't alter it in any way.

Hi guys
I'm impressed
It's already 3years back but I think still very interesting. I made just the 1750km and had an average of 128km/h. I looked at your track and analysis found also the first wave in Innsbruck (took me ages just to reach 4800m best climb rate 3.7m/s). But how you manage to fly straight in waves beats me. So far I found no one really flyable wave in Condor. Maybe I do it wrong  . Or has the weather model changed in the meantime?
Some advice would be fine
P.S. if I tried to fly fast I lost mostly the wings  . How you manage over 300km/h beats me.
