I guess I still owe you guys some statistics about this task.
Sorry about the delay; family bereavement.

The "ZA Ridge Record task" ran between 19-01-2006 and 06-02-2006 for 19 days, almost continuously.

Total number of pilots that took a start: .....302
Number of failed attempts: .........................217
Number of completed attempts: .................. 85

Completed with av. speed :
< 160 km/h: ......................36
between 160-170: ............18
between 170-180: ............13
between 180-190: ..............5
between 190-200: ..............7
between 200-210: ..............6
>210: ..................................0

A lot of pilots made several attempts and clearly improved each time.
Thanks to those who sent in their .ftr files as learning material for others.

The number of pilots that could not complete the task looks high. However, so is the number of pilots who came very very close to the finish!
Well done all, awesome flying on this far from easy task!
I hope you enjoyed it.

Before you ask: I'm working on another, even trickier variant, but so far I haven't been able to complete the task myself.
I want to be sure it can be done, before I release it.
The briefing is ready, but... Don't know yet...
