Excellent!
Well done guys, and congratulations to whoever the new record holder is at the moment.
The Jury is now in session, chewing dinner, snowed under by a pile of emails, Server Log files, .FTR and .IGC files, and new record claims.!
It is only two weeks ago that nobody believed my forecast that an average of ~200 km/h was possible on this task.
Must have been an extremely good day today....
Or maybe I've just been too pessimistic.
When I come to think of it, maybe even 220 km/h average is possible.
Anyway, the Jury is working on it and the new record will appear here and on the task sheet, some time tonight.

Ok guys, a new task record has just been "officially" recognised.
Today the previous record has been beaten twice!
However, the Jury placed a footnote on both flights.
First a new best was achieved by "WS" (Agentschlegel) with an average of 201.7 km/h.
He only sent in an .IGC file which cannot be used as a Ghost for others to learn from, so the Jury had problems with that.
Shortly after, "SL" (S.Low) sent in a .Zipped .ftr and .igc file, claiming 107.95 km/h.
The Jury almost discarded the file as a joke, but they had a look anyway.
"SL" set a new incredible record of 207.95 km/h.
Congratulations SL!
I wonder how long the new record will stand though, because the local TV station just issued a special bulletin about the traffic jams on the roads in Slovenia, caused by the numerous glider trailers heading to the Lesce airfield from all over the world....
On Wallstreet there is a rush on shares of glider polish manufacturers....

But the best trick is SL's course as there is one more wave.Berblinger wrote: that's the trick: gaining as much height as possible from start to 1. tp and from there, way back to lesce. There's a very, very narrow wave band. If hit, you can have 1700m at 1. tp and 2300 at lesce!
Did I really say this. Still optimistic when 30 km left to finish, from then on I wasn't able to keep my speed. But after all, please welcome me in the club of the the guys who made it with more than 200km/h.Berblinger wrote:After that it's mostly a matter of technique, smooth controlling and using even the weakest lifts.
Gratulation to SL. He still made height, when I was in sink.

Wading through ZA:'s DS Logfiles, the Jury discovered 2 more new members of the 200+ Club.
Welcome PY and JJJ, well done!.
However, SL's record is still unbeaten.
In the mean time, prices of parking places in Lesce's surroundings soared to incredible heights.
The owner of the grass land on the picture just bought a villa in St. Tropez.
Traffic is still jammed with glider trailers, and 64 more towplanes are ordered.
This weekend last chance to enter the Hall of Fame guys!

Just to insure my "official" 200+ membership, I gave it my best shot once more on this task: 202.16 km/h.
I have to admit it SL, there is a difference between you and me:
You must have a better joystick...
Mine makes my glider wag its tail so violently every now and then, that sometimes I'm afraid it ends up flying backwards.
I would like to know what brand joystick you are using.
Anyway, congratulations SL.
I just sent your subscription request to the Shaman, who was hilarious that he finally has his giunee pig.
So beware, and good luck in RL!
This record race has ended now guys, hope you enjoyed it.
If you still would like me to host it further, post it here.

Thanks, Yeh, "Lousytech" here too... Wingman Digital 3D to be precise.
It has been already in the dust bin twice, but since I don't know what to replace it with, I repaired it.
The Hardware topic here doesn't make me happy either. It looks like the only good sticks that were ever made, are no longer produced.
I checked: Autorudder is on and rudder sensitivity has been reduced in Condor.
But the stick has a lot of mechanical mid-centre play and requires a "surgeon like" steady hand.
That's one reason why I can't "say" much in Multiplayer.
Letting go of the stick, typing a message, grabbing the stick again and stop the slipping and sliding, would cost me 50 meters of altitude per message....
I'll have another look at the Hardware topic.
