119km ridge-race

Post by mosquito » Wed Apr 27, 2005 10:48 pm

today evening we flew a 119km ridge-race, pretty difficult in some parts.
I didnt save my flight analysis but i can remember a average speed of about 125km/h, KarlKoch(BB) made somthing with 132 kmh i think.
The Task looks MUCH easier than it is, but just try making it, you can find the FPL in the attachement, and leave the weather as it is ;)

It was indeed a nice task,
it really looked like a F1 race!
we all flew very close to eachother.. right Karl ;)
when shall we do it again?
Think positive, flaps negative.

As u might have noticed I crashed 2 secs after hitting finish TP.

Rgrds Shtopor.
P.S> I will try to improove my time in future if more ppl are interested in that particular race.
If brutal force doesn't solve the problem,
then u are not applying enough.

Ok what ever
You haven't come even near last TP becouse you crashed at TP 3, you still had a way home from there. So how did you find out your average speed if you didn't flown the whole race????
Anyway it doesn't really matter. Let's just try to set the best time and SURVIE

PS Don't take this too seriusly (or personaly) i was just making a point(and i also had a bad day :x )

sorry to all who downloaded my track, i just checked and found out that
I took TP3 as a final. Anyway I flew it once more in Ventus2 in the same
weather conditions and final average speed was 171.3km/h.
Unfortunately, I didn't save the track cause I pressed done on the page
instead of saving it. I think I could do even better cause I realize about
mistake only because there were no applodisments at the end of race, I looked at GPS and indeed there was one more point, but I already dumped
water, so I guess it could be done even better(a little).

If someone can beat that (the task can be downloaded in the first post in
this thread) than pls drop it here I would love to race with better than that time.
Thnks Shtopor.

Today I had some time and beat same task with my new record
184.7 km/h average(ASW27).
Below is flightplan and ghost of that flight.
Try to beat it and if do so please post it here so we can replay that one.

crashed!

Post by nimbusgb » Wed May 04, 2005 6:27 pm

Come on guys, surely crashing nullifies your task. I want to see high energy finishes over the fence and a completed circuit and landing.

It doesn't count if you're not at the prizegiving 'cos your under a heap of glass in a field!

You do not need winrar to be able to extract.
You can use this outstanding little & free program: http://www.7-zip.org/
