Club Class Tasks
Club Class Tasks
No1- combination of ridge and thermal.
Easy to finish, but beware, might be necessary to stop on a ridge to get over the last mountain.
About an hour to finish.
Let me know if you like it..
(hope others also contribute nice club class tasks)

No2- New Zealand ridge run.
thought this would be easy, but it wasn't.
navigation and mouantain crossing important in first part,
at last part it's a matter of finding the fastest way to survive

No4: A good soaring day in Provence. 100 km triangle.
The turnpoint locations makes it a challenging task. About 1 hour to finish

Re: Club Class Tasks
I've come up with a couple of changes that should be made to my minden fpl. The turn points should be no more than 270 degrees. 90 degrees would probably be even better. It's too easy short cut otherwise.
Also, start time should be changed to 15 min with a gate open for 30-45 min.
I flew the course in about 1:22 for an average speed of about 39 or so in the PW5. I had to work at it.
I wonder if there is any interest in a One-Design series? 100km +/- course length. Only one glider design for the series. No flaps, ballast, or airborne starts. Also, only one scenery for most of the races? Everyone would be at an equal disadvantage.

Re: Club Class Tasks
imo, the best simulation of club class is standard class gliders, wit no ballast allowed.
They are a bit too good, but club now has gliders like ls 4, discus b, etc, so not to big a difference.

Re: Club Class Tasks
btw. i would love it if someone would host club class tasks.
But guess it's a bit difficult to automate a check that the glider is unballasted?

Re: Club Class Tasks
Take a look at this thread: http://forum.condorsoaring.com/viewtopi ... =5&t=10935 . In the igc there is a 'Water' parameter that could be searched for and if > 0 the flight is invalid. I couldn't find the same parameter in the ftr.arn72 wrote:But guess it's a bit difficult to automate a check that the glider is unballasted?
If I knew what I was doing, it would be even simpler to create a new Club Class in Condor that would not allow ballast in any of the class gliders but I've been away from that sort of stuff for too long.
Re: Club Class Tasks
I've updated Condor Club to support Club class. You can post a task with Standard class selected and, on CC, you check the option "water not allowed".arn72 wrote:btw. i would love it if someone would host club class tasks.

Only unballasted FTR will be accepted
Re: Club Class Tasks
