2ND AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR NATIONAL GLIDING COMPS

Post by Aussiewalrus » Wed Jun 01, 2005 10:25 am

Just thought i'd mention it in case any Aussie's are interested. Open to pilots under 26 years with a silver C.

But more interesting (probably) to a lot of you is the potential to be coached during the comps in a two seater. Currently have 4-5 twins (mostly ASH25's!) with coached waiting. These include such prestigous persons as Bruce Taylor, the National Gliding Champ.

Currently there are only a few juniors with there names down so plenty of room! I went last year as crew and it was so much fun, blew me away. This year im competing in my clubs Pik20D (so let's get that pik model done :-) )

If anyone is interested, take a look at:

Yeah, problem is i'm only 15 years too late & two certificates short :D

Fantastic idea though. I can't think of any better way to rejuvenate a flagging sport than to encourage the youth. Oh, we could always blow up Schemp Hirth/Schleicher factories & their highly overpriced items ;)
