Does any one know where I could get a Mini Joystick, rudder and 'throttle/brake' for a laptop. Something that will sit in a laptop case for when I'm stuck on 12hr shift at work.

I've never seen a small portable joytsick. You could try a logitech gamepad. It has two analog sticks so you can use one for the stick and the other for rudder. Don't know if this will work but it is small enough to take with you in a laptop case.

cheers for that, a bit PS2, but if it works....

I was going to use my Realflight RC controller (www.realflight.com) but thats a bit on the big side.

I'll contact my suppliers and get a 'free' demo one!

Oh, my god, this a werid experience flying on a pad. First, the throttle and rudder has a limitation of having the throttle at zero, the rudder movement is limited (doesn't affect glider, but if the brake was on the throttle...hint :) ).

The 'feel' is right, its like something has been taken away. Also, my reactions are either over or under, might just need a little getting used to :)

It's painfully difficult with the rudder/brake stick (left one), but significantly better than using keyboard and mouse. I've never been able to take off using key/mouse, the rudder control, even with the 'auto rudder' enabled in windy conditions is shot to pieces.
