Hi!
Yeah, what a stunning area! You're lucky! ^^ But it seems to be pretencious to fly there. I'd love to see more pics as well!

Re: Flying in the mountains of Norway :-)
Thank you for nice comments!
Flying in Western Norway is very safe and comfortable. We always know excactly were we can land if we're getting low.
These photos are from easter when there is still loads of snow in the mountains. This make the landscape look harsh and hostile for gliding.
Landing at a snow-covered grassfield is not recommended, but it usually only gives small damages to the glider. Typical, is the loss of wheel hatches.
We don't do alot of XC-soaring when the landscape is snow-covered because of the outlandingfields beeing covered by snow. Our XC-season starts off about now.
Beneath are some more photos from my first XC-flights of 2011.
Cheers!

If you look close, you can spot the Discus. "Alpine skin" is no stupid idea on gliders..

LLOOOLLL,
must be easy as "thermal helpers" are on.... and then THE question: who was first; left or right?
(very nice views, thanks for posting them)

Thanks Jarmo!
The eagle was of course first.
I spotted the eagle and joined in. Afterwards came the rest of the "white birdies".
Annyoingly, the eagle obviously never learned the rules of thermalling because he was switching turningdirection all the time.
He swooped over my canopy a few times scaring the crap out of me.
