It's also now available in Australia - it's made by the same team that produced the "Gladiators of the Sky". It's another very good production

There's a review of it at Soaring Cafe now: http://soaringcafe.com/2011/03/dvd-revi ... the-andes/

Sounds like I will have to get this one :)

I already got it (Blu-ray) :D and I fully confirm the review. But be careful, the Blu-ray puts your player under stress and the not addicted will look at you without any understanding when you're spellbound watching the videos.

Got my copy in Blu-Ray as well. Just awesome, totally agree with the review about the quality of the images and shots. On a Full-HD LED TV it simply stunning.

I think I watched it 3 times in a row in the first couple of days since I received it... :D

Only thing I found "lacking" is the the "technical" aspect of the race. Since the films are a bit short, it doesn't go into much detail of the race, it's all kind of fast paced, not a "deep" covering of the event.

I was give a link to download this a few months ago - in glorious 1080p!* The narrators voice is American in my copy though.

I'm not sure whether the video is the actual content taken from the Blu-ray or just a promo. The way the content is presented, I would guess the latter, but as I'm not sure, I haven't and won't share it due to the copyright implications.

If it is straight off of the Blu-ray, I'd be disappointed to have shelled out £30 or whatever for it, given the quality of the user generated content on the likes of youtube. As an example, start here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs666zqMw0s

* The file is a whopping 653MB!
