But I was there during the wgc in 2004 crewing for my dad. One of the coldest competitions I can remember..
Ah, yes. I wasn't there myself, but I've heard the horror storries about the weather which was terrible for almost the entire contest.
I'm sure you'll get some chances of flying the scenery if you're going to participate in some contests this year :) And if you do you'll notice that Starmoen is actually one of the less interesting places to fly from in Norway... It get's more interesting the further west you go. But the facilities are nice at Starmoen, and despite 2004 WGC the conditions can be really good there.

That's my glider, well, syndicated, so I guess it should be 'our' glider.

Posted it before, but now with her new registration. Had to do some restoration work but she's almost ready to go now.

Why not a MANDARIN (4 m wingspan)?
Flies like it looks - excellent!

Yup, that's me in our club Grob ready for take-off! I cross-checked the date and time based on shadows. That's when I had it reserved and my car is in the parking lot. :D

Morning all,

I found no thread to introduce new members so I'll do it here. My name is Dan and new to Condor (thank you Santa!)

This is my Schuemannized Libelle. A fellow named Wil Schuemann fell in love with the Libelle but thought he could do better. He reconfigured the wings, made the transition from wing to fuselage a more generous radius, and on mine cut the nose off and grafted a Kestral canopy. It's a 40:1 ship now. In the off season I painted the trailer inside and out, cleaned up nicely.

Happy to answer any questions (if I can) because I'll be poking you folks with Condor questions.

Dan
