Condor pilots - The Condor 'jobbook' :)

Post by Brian89 » Sun Jun 06, 2010 2:38 pm

Hi!

Since we already have a condor facebook in this forum, I thought of creating a jobbook:)
We already know each other by pictures, but don't know what do you do for a living or in your free time (apart from gliding :) )
If I have to bet, I'd say that at least the half of you guys, in this forum are working in IT sector :)
Am i wrong? :)

I'm a student (learning to be an architect).

I'm a student using summerjobs etc.. to finance my flying.
On my freetime I work with music, mainly as a bass player.

I'm a pilot currently looking for a job. In the meantime I'm working in the warehouse of a small technical company. Sorting nuts and bolts  . In my spare time I play bassguitar.

I am a software implementation consultant in the UK, though the company I work for has its head office in the Netherlands.
Do I detect a musical trend in some of these responses? In my spare time I play drums!!

I believe in the theory that gliderpilots often turn to music because we have a sence of the harmonic. When I see a cessna pilot fly an uncoordinated turn, I get the same paine going trough my body as when I hear a bad vocalist or a badly tuned instrument soud like a screeming cat! If you think about it, one can draw many lines between music and gliding.

Hard to do an uncoordinated turn in a Cessna as you dont need rudder :D
