Soaring Camp Area Managers

Post by Icarus » Mon Aug 18, 2008 5:25 am

Soaring Camp is growing from strength to strength. The recent and successful debut Summer competition was very well received by the online racing community. To increase the enjoyment and appeal of this competition to all language groups we are looking for Area Managers who could represent SC in their regions and languages.

The key functions would be promoting SC in regional or own language forums, facilitating discussion of admin issues relating to rules, competitions, feedback on competitions and general communication between the SC Management Team and the forum. These Area Managers (AM’s) will form a communication link between the SC Management and the regional or language groups they represent.
It is intended that the AM’s will in time become an integral part of managing their region or group, and have the authority to select time zones for racing to best suit their region or group, host SC races on their own regional servers.

Initial thoughts are to have AM’s for the existing language forums:
- Hungarian
- Polish
- French
- German

There is also strong interest in creating forums specifically for:
- Pacific area (English/Japanese)
- Austrian (maybe German language forum)
- Belgium
- Denmark
- Lithuania
- Netherlands
- Swiss

More areas could be created based on finding a volunteer to manage the region or group, or areas could be joined together on the basis of same language for example. If you have a proposal please let us know!
Suitable candidates should:
1. Have at least average English language ability.
2. Have 2hrs free time per week.
3. Enjoy being part of racing competition organisation.
4. Be enthusiastic about promoting online racing.

If you have any interest in applying for a role as an Area Manager for SC, please send a PM to the Director Marek Svozil, aka 22, or send an email to the SC official address czskcup@seznam.cz
