slow internet connection, or slow pc and long time for download scenery... if your scenery is loaded more than 1 minutes, your time slot at server could be closed...

Sometimes this happens to me when I stay in flightplanner for too long (but jointime is not over, I know because I can connect 1 minute later). OK, my pings are a lot higher than normal for europeans, as I live in Brazil (250-350ms for servers in Europe).

I have this often in the last days. Very strange "feature" I think because the pings to the servers are good, around 100ms.

GR and Uros say it must stay like this but I cannot really understand what is the purpose :?: :(

I host several different contests (covering at least 7 flights/week), but something odd happened to me tonight: I got "Slot requested timed out detected" when trying to connect to... the flight *I* was hosting! This hasn't happened before, and there were 12 other pilots connected to my machine... most of the pilot are from South America, while I live in North America.

My ping time to my own computer is as close to zero as it could possibly be, and as I haven't changed anything on my machine in a few weeks. I have my computer on 24x7 so I can automatically host contests.

I got the error even when I changed the IP address from my public IP to 127.0.0.1.

Can anyone explain why I would get a "Slot requested timed out detected" to... my own computer?

Cheers,
-Mark Rebuck
