I tested DSHelper with Condor in german and czech and looks good. Only the logmail stuff gives me a error.

- FTP connection does not work, I get msg about doesnt exist directory also in case when value is blank - (works for me)
- DSH FTP settings do not accept values from *.dsh and always use default values - (have to test this - in my test case i only used dsh settings - there were no main settings)
- e-mail settings does not accept any address (IP or hostname). I use same settings as in previous versions, where these settings worked (i got some other error)
- DSH does not show values like (leader, flown distance etc.) - (works everytime for me)
- DSH optional and reapeating msgs dont work - (works too)

Hi Hitzi,
I have a small request for the next version if it will be posibile.

Having the condor server on the network i usually only replace the fpl with the new one.
Doing so, DSHelper doesn't refresh task data when starting the server next time. (Not even if i stop and start the server again from UI). Last week some of the guys got wrong 'taskinfo' until i restarted DSHelper.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Another small question.
All my servers report smaller 'flown distance' to the alternative serverlists. (right now one server reports 38km in official serverlist and 17km in mine and yours, after a few minutes, 119 in official, 64 in alternative).
In DSHelper window the distance is correct (same as in official serverlist)
There is no delay set on the alternative serverlist config.
Any idea why is this happening?

Hi Mac,

sorry for the late reply. How and when do you replace the fpl?

My DSH is crashing after couple days (Windows "DSH will be shut down..."). CDS remains open but task not running. There are some CDS messages stacked up, I'll try to make note of them if it happens again.

Extra Debug has made a file so large I can't open it...547 mb!

The extra debug would be great. Can you try to zip it? It's only text so the compression can big big.

I replace the fpl's every monday, just by replacing the files via network mapped drive.
Now after this step i have to close all servers and restart DSHelper to fetch the new data. (if not the fpl on the server is ok, but 'taskinfo' command shows the previous task info).

Any ideea on the other issue? It seems that even if i don't have any delay set on the serverlist info, there is a big delay in displaying the km flown in the alternative server lists.

David, do you have the detailed log (debug log) all the time enabled? If this is the case I think I know what's wrong.

Mac, so you have a list for example with flight1.fpl, flight2.fpl, flight3.fpl and when you replace them you simply upload a new flight1.fpl, flight2.fpl and flight3.fpl and overwrite the old ones, right? I changed the behavior fof the serverlist in dsh a bit. I'll send you a new version of the dsh later this week so you can test if the distance problem is gone.

I'm not exactly sure...

On Program page, I do NOT have "Write debug informations to a logfile" checked. Although I did for the couple days to generate the file I posted, then turned it off.

On Logfile page, I have "Save DSHelper logfile" checked, but nothing else checked on that page.

But in the DSHelper.ini file, there is this:
[Options]
WriteDebugLogfile=0
DetailedDebugInfos=1
ClearDebugLogfile=0

[Logfile]
Enabled=1
SaveEventsOnly=0
SaveAsCSV=0
DontSaveEmptyLogfiles=0

As long as WriteDebugLogfile is null no debug file is written. The section [Logfile] is used by the Settings/Logfile part of the options and this are just the logfiles from the flight.

If you didn't had the "Write debug informations to a logfile" and "Save detailed informations" option activated when you got the error then it's another problem than I thought.

Another crash this morning, but I don't have any logging turned on.
Some pics to illustrate the timing:

CrashState.jpg
DSH crashed, CDS still open, but task not runni.
last entry in Server log:
"Dedicated server restarting"
RaceResult and FPL written at 05/11/2010 8:50 AM

RestartDSH1.jpg
DSH reads in stacked Server logs starting from
"I.Crha connected."
and then restarted task

RestartDSH2.jpg
Basically same info

I'm not sure why "Aerotow launching procedure started." is sent twice.
