Old Condor is not dead yet!!!

Post by dgtfer » Sat Jan 13, 2018 7:22 am

Old Condor is tired. After millions of kilometers on sceneries all around the world, he will soon find a well deserved rest. His heir, still at the nest, is ready to take off ...

But the "Old Bird" is always dashing, and wants to finish with a last legendary feat!

He will take off on Saturday, February 3rd for his "Chant du Cygne" ...

We offer you to join for a flight between Vienna (Austria) and Marseille, 1890 km on the most beautiful alpine scenery. It will not be a race but a long ride where the only purpose is to have fun and above all, to finish ... During the flight, everyone can communicate on TS, so that everybody can exchange his experiences.
It will be on AA scenery with an "18m" class glider. The flight plan is ready and will be deposited on the server FR02, departure at 8:00 Paris time .
For the latecomers (or late wakers), the same flight will be launch on FR04, at 10:00.

For those who can not, or do not want to, fly nearly 10 hours, the server FR03 will open at 13:45 pm with a departure from Altenstadt and an arrival at Fayence (696 km, Class 18 m). Mixed flight (thermal and slope).
Estimated flight time between 4 and 5 hours. (or less )

Flight Vienna-Marseille: (1897 km FR02 >> start 8h paris time, 7UTM)

Many coasting parts with Auto Pilot will provide to everyone time to refuel ... and other needs.
The final glide will start from Mont Blanc. For the landing,
the Marignane runway will be illuminated.
The experience of the Vinon-Fes raid showed us that time passes very quickly ... and all the participants almost regretted having already arrived in Fes!

Flight Altenstadt-Fayence: (696km FR03 >> start 13h45 Paris time, 1245 UTM)

A starting point in plain (thermal) will let you join the route of the "Swansong" main flight .
Then, to avoid the monotony of a long final in "auto pilot" towards Marseille, the projected track variants toward a south-east direction to join Fayence. (thermal flight and slope approximate duration: 4 hours or less )

The pilots of the Altenstadt-Fayence flight will be able to join those of "Chant du Cygne" on the same TS channel, at 14h00 Paris Time (1300UTM)
The track from Friedrichhaffen to Aspres is identical in both flight plans. "

If you get caught by the night, the Marseille / Marignane and Fayence runways will be illuminated ...
Just load this patch:
Airports.zip
Then unzip and save it in Condor/Landscapes/AA/Airports, and accept the replacement of existing files requested by Windows.
Your scenery's compatibility with other multiplayer servers will not be affected.

These flights will be taken in account on Condor-Club scoring.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
