Once you have turned Abingdon Bridge bear ESE towards Swindon. Sandhills Farm is a little difficult to pick up but lies about 2 miles to the east of Swindon itself and on a line between Swindon and the villages of Watchfield / Shrivenham.
Once turned, it's basically SE back to Lasham.

AndyS - DNF as discussed above
RobBob - DNF. internet connection failed
The problems seemed not with the navigation but with the ground equipment. I was heartened, though, that people were finding their way this time.
Had a brief look at the Endeavour episode I mentioned which was shown on Sunday evening. I managed to get some screendumps of the glider: it plays no part in the plot but I am still unsure as to the model.
EDIT: The registration number G-AWTP is visible later in the episode: comes back to a Ka-6E: I thought 6E's looked a bit dumpier than that so possibly it is the colour scheme.

Re: Beastly Soaring 2018
First I thought it was an Oly 2b, but the canopy is not right. I am leaning towards a K6 or even a Skylark 3.
There must be someone in Condor forum land who can spot this (may even know the glider).
Could be a new competition 'Identify the glider' (more fun than release lottery).

Thats a K6. I think looking at the last picture that it is a K6E.

I believe you are correct. Registration comes back to a Ka-6E.wickid wrote:That's a K6. I think looking at the last picture that it is a K6E.
To the best of my knowledge gliders have only recently been allocated G-#### numbers: this Endeavour episode is set in the autumn of 1968 so this may be a goof.

Re: Beastly Soaring 2018
Hi all
What a lovely glider - yes it is a K6E
Yes that particular glider probably wouldn't of had a G-reg back in the 60's although I understand that a few British gliders did have G-reg's back then so not too much of a goof.
If I recall correctly they could only be flown on the other side of the water (the English Channel that is - bag of worms opened and hard hat on) if the they were C.A.A. registered as opposed to just being B.G.A. registered.

For UK Condor pilots, a new scenery has just been released:

My version of Scotland, I hope you enjoy it. I now want to see Ian create some wave tasks on it.
