same for me.Nearly same position as UWE. Visibility down, no props anytime , also with big size sceneries like California or AA.
Bad motivation for the upcoming tasks with that scenery, also penalty,... :( :(
Good bye top 10

Hi

Interesting task.

But having struggled and got within 20km on safe final glide I had a very rare BSOD - I uploaded a renamed lasttrack.ftr so obvioulsy down as crashed.

At the time it happened I was just typing a chat message to RF to ask if he was restarting? :D  - so serves me right he'd say!

Unusually though with this BSOD the computer didn't crash but just Condor in that after 30 seconds to a minute Condor closed down leaving a functioning computer with Teamspeak still running.

Very disappointing especially as I have what should be a pretty good machine and all the settings are deliberately set at medium to low in all categories to avoid such events.

Happier New Year to all and CWC is good fun so thanks to the organisers.

Regards
Steve

There's a very simple but consistently true Condor Scenery Equation: HR+HOD=BS ( High Resolution + High Object Density = Blue Screen )
Solutions are now well known: reduce visibility, trees density, textures size (Condor Club Textures Reducer) and it's even possible to remove some objects in World directory.

Hi dgtfer

Already just on Medium/Normal/Normal/very low/Normal so pretty tight already in an attempt to avoid the known issues.

I have also since used the reducer and hope that will be sufficient - not sure if I'd used it before on this scenery but I think its now reduced from 4096 to 2048 or the like.

I don't know where you had your Blue Screen, and I hadn't flown much on Cape of Storm, but most of crashes with Provence Oisan occurred in direct proximity of a lot of objects, for example in Vercor, near Chales and Skiing Stations with huge installations.
Have a look to your textures size, standard resolution should not exceed 683 KB.

.... really not my scenerie - next BlueScreen.
All medium and Reducer doesn´t matter.

2 Days no Points - no, 100 Penalty Points... a bit frustrating

Hello!
Would be nice to have possibility (in case of "typical Condor's BSOD") to upload lastrack.ftr with corresponding ERRORLOG.TXT to c-c to not be scored as crasher... Maybe such functionality is possible to implement.

There isn't always a lasttrack.ftr when you have a BSOD. And checking logfiles that people can edit isn't smart.

I think there should be a Competition Scenery Blacklist. BSOD sceneries are nice for VR pilots, but not for Competition Soaring pilots.
Competition Sceneries should have ZERO faults and/or reliability issues.

If BSOD is made by Condor itself (not by Windows) than lastrack.ftr always exist together with automatic made ERRORLOG.TXT. (Failure scenery scenario.)
If BSOD is made by Windows than smthing is wrong with your system, that's different story and of course no lasttrack.ftr.
Competition Scenery Blacklist - good idea maybe...

The list below is without calibration/UTM errors and all possible apt file errors... Not all sceneries in the list have errors BTW.

Condor crash at task 9. I had all settings at medium/normal, but this evidently did not help.

Same here blue screen 'out of memory' message. This is another scenery that pushes the memory limits of a 32bit program.
