Re: CoTaCo (V4.3): Task converter for XCSoar, LK8000 & SeeYou
Marc, if maps (LKM, DEM files) were assigned during the first conversion for a particular scenery is there a way to change these map assignments later? I think it was possible in old versions just by clicking on the grey map path field, but now I don't think we can do it anymore.
If someone accidentally assigns a wrong map how do we fix the mistake?

Until I have time to look at this issue, manually edit the file mentioned in the manual (p9)

Re: CoTaCo (V4.3): Task converter for XCSoar, LK8000 & SeeYou
I just installed CoTaCo v4.31 and I keep this error: "*** File C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\CoTaCoV431\CoTaCo.ini: cannot be created ***"
I was previously running version 3 for a few years from this same location with no problems. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jim

Maybe you have updated Windows since then or some security app prevents you from writing thereUncompress the Zip file in the desired folder (which has to be writable)
Please try installing somewhere else in a folder where the app will have write access

CoTaCo can read both C2 and C3 FPLs, it is recommended to set
Condor 2 Path=AUTO
Condor root folder=AUTO
CoTaCo sets these paths according to the last active Condor version
If you have already used CoTaCo with C2, you may reuse your CoTaCo.ini file
Depending on which Condor version you use most, set the (default) Flightplans path accordingly
You will still be able to open a flight plan anywhere on your PC using the file picker

Re: CoTaCo (V4.3.2): Task converter for XCSoar, LK8000 & SeeYou
Version 4.3.2 is available on the webpage
Bug fixes:
- CUP->FPL conversion
- AAT time: XCSoar expects seconds and not minutes
Many thanks to the users who reported
If you are neither using XCSoar nor converting CUP files, no need to update
NOTE:
If you find an issue with any of my tools, please contact me using the mail address found in the support section of the manual
Don't forget to attach your .ini file and any file that may cause the issue

Re: CoTaCo (V4.4): Task converter for XCSoar, LK8000 & SeeYou
As some tasksetters are really lazy, the airspace files generated by CoTaCo may contain heaps of zones not relevant to the task and hence be huge.
CoTaCo will crop the airspace not affecting a rectangle around the task, with a margin=37km/20nm (default, may be changed)
If you still want to have a 1MB airspace file for each AA3 task, it is possible to disable that option
Inactive or unreachable airspace can be either omitted or commented out in the file
In CLI mode, if the flight_plan argument is only a filename, it will be searched for in the default Condor FlightPlans folder
Fixed some bugs only happening if conversion was launched after Setup form was activated
Version 4.4 is available on the webpage
