Exactly, and the best to do it will be to register to the 3rd FAI VSGP

The registration is Free, and will open in the coming days.
Stay tuned about the OEG, more news coming soon!

Hi everyone,
We are absolutely honored to announce that representatives from the FAI, FAI Virtual Gliding, and the Condor Team were invited to attend the prestigious Olympic Esports Games Publisher and Developer Forum held at the Olympic House in Lausanne. This forum, hosted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), marks a significant step on the road to the first Olympic Esports Games in 2027.
The forum brought together leaders from across the Olympic Movement and the global community of game publishers and developers.
Read more about this fantastic development here:

Huge thanks to Chris who represented our community at the event!
Kind regards,
Antoine

Nice to read!
When I read that Thrustmaster is supporting, I started wondering about the hardware that will be used.
Own PC, throttle quadrant and force feedback joystick, with all its buttons programmed, xcsoar link etc, will probably only be usable in qualifiers maybe.
What hardware might be foreseen for the real e-olympics?

It’s too early to say. We don’t know if we will
be selected.
I would expect common controls and VR headsets, and no extras allowed to be installed. So condor or LX PDA.

Thank you all for your replies!
About Hardware, we don't expect any limitations for the qualifiers.
On-site event in Saudi Arabia, we do expect to have the same setup for all qualified pilots - requirement from the IOC.
Too early to say more things, as Chris stated.
Have a good day,
Antoine

I certainly hope so too, as I'm too used to it now.
...But considering Thrustmaster is the sponsor, and they don't have any FFB sticks, I think it's unlikely

They should have something in the works since a few years...

I have used TM joysticks for a while, and at least, there are very precise.
FFB would be best for sure, we will try to make it happen. In contact with Schuwirth too

Schuwirth looks cool/kinda real.
But, a big but. If VR goggles are going to be mandatory? Many of us will never have flown wirh that - and then a bunch of buttons will be needed to operate the glide computer etc... hopefully individually settable, to keep some memory muscle...
