Pimax 5k VR headset with Condor2

Post by MagicValy51 » Tue Dec 10, 2024 8:44 am

Hello,

I am trying to use PIMAX 5K VR Headset to fly like I am doing with META QUEST3:

Here are my frameworks versions:
  • - PiTools: v1.0.1.260
    - PimaxXR 0.4.4 runtime
    - OpenXR 1.3.2
    - OpenComposite
    - ReviveOverlay / Injector 3.2.0
The strange issue is my location at launching (start): I am outside the canopy... At 3m above - close to the right wing  like a bee outside...

- Someone knows which configuration file to customize in order to seat into the canopy ?

Thanks a lot for your feedback,

Hi!

You should be able to run C2 (and C3) directly from Pimax directly by importing condor in 'imported' on the VR Experience dashboard.

You need obviously to have Oculus software installed. Performance should be better than through revive injector, and you will seat inside the cockpit.

Last version of PimaxPlay (V1.36.01.01.02_202412272021) works... But Is not compatible with PiTools... I've done that successfully with Pitools 1.01.260 too.

My experience is that a simple 'uninstall' of PiTools 1.01.260 will not clean everything... So you must manually remove everthing you find from your disks and registry before trying to install the new version... Don't forget to purge Appdata folders.

If you do that successfully, PimaxPlay should launch the new version of VR Experience... If it's the old version, then it wasn't uninstalled properly, and you will not be able to restart PimaxPlay...

After some tries, and having 2 years of extensive use on the same base resulting in a huge system disk, I decided it was the moment for a clean reinstall... So I didn't insist more on trying to get it working...
