Condor3 and VR
Hi all,
Well, there's some news about the C3, how about VR?
I have a big problem with Meta Q3 (Q2 also not working) and connecting to PC via native program. New installations, win 10 or win 11, with cable or via wifi, simply does not work. I have three dots and a black screen and it won't connect. On the other hand, on the other two installations of win 11 with DCS or MSFS, everything is fine.
But everything also works fine on everything with the new Virtual Desktop and OpenXR. And it works perfectly and simply
tnx

Re: Condor3 and VR
It was written earlier that there will be no change regarding VR when C3 comes out for not to delay it more, but they promised to take that point into an update later.
Unfortunately I don't find that post (from OXO), but I remember it.
I'm very interested in trying VR too, but I will wait until that update

Can you see a virtual desktop in your headset? If not it is not correctly set up.h.kreso wrote: ↑Fri Dec 29, 2023 8:58 amHi all,

Also, USB link works to, I see storage on my Q3 and can copy files.

Very strange, my Quest 3 worked plug and play with the link cable.

I can confirm that Q3+link works plug and play with Condor2 as soon in Setup>Video Options the Setup VR is ON and the correct GPU is selected

I would like a little info, since we do flights of more than 2 or 3 hours on circuits, is it that with the Q3, the headset is continuously recharged? Which was not the case with the Q2, where we ran out of battery after 2 hours, even with the USB cable connected to the PC

Personnally I fly with a Quest 2 as long as I want with air link and the quest charging if necessary via usb on the mains. So if you have the conditions to use air link, no problem.

Re: Condor3 and VR
The Q3 with the official link cable very slowly drains battery. Like 5 to 10% in a 3 hour condor session.

I did my 1,000 km diploma in a Quest 2 on cable Link. Never did hit wave lift, so it took me seven and a half hours.
And the battery, plugged in, lived the whole way. I still had like 40% at the end.

Re: Condor3 and VR
Hi Guys,
I first want to share an experience with Meta Quest 3.
I spent days fighting to get the link cable to work. The solution for me was not to use the USB c port.
The solution was an adapter to a regular USB 3.2 and then to a blue USB 3.2 Gen1.
Connecting to an standard ore USB 3.0 ports also did not work.
If it doesn't work, turn the c connector 180 degrees in the adapter
But now another problem.(see picture)
There has been a lot of fuss about it, but now I suddenly have the following message when I try to fly with a condor.
I have already updated the drivers of the GPU (RTX 3060)
The RTX 3060 is visible in video option.
If I turn off VR, Condor works normally again
I already reset the quest3 to factory settings and that worked, but the first time I tried to fly in Condor again, the same problem.
Does anyone have a solution?

Re: Condor3 and VR
A suggestion that you may or may not have already tried -
First, make sure Quest Link is enabled in the Oculus settings and verify that the headset is connected to your PC.
Second, make sure Oculus is enabled in the Condor settings.
Start your Condor session
If you experience the error -
Power off the headset fully. Turn it back on and leave it on your head. Look for a message asking you to confirm that your"boundary" is set properly, and either confirm or set a new boundary.
After that, you should be able to start condor successfully.
I ran into this issue initially and the above is how I solved it.
Good luck and I hope this helps!

Hi VV_MGSA,
Thanks for the reply.
Your solution worked once and the next time I started Condor the error message was back.
Do you have to repeat the process every time or was it finally solved?

Re: Condor3 and VR
I am glad it at least partly worked.
Usually I only need to do it the first time in any given session, meaning that if I finish a flight and go back to the menu to set up a new flight and then start again it usually works without having to go through that process again.
I also treat it like a pre-flight checklist, for example if I'm about to fly online through Condor Club I'll get everything running, start a flight in Condor to verify all my controls and the VR is working, then I close out Condor before joining the server. Before I started doing that I missed a couple of competition join times.
