The issue is intermittent, two days ago I had a flight where I could move around normally,
yesterday my head was glued to the cockpit again.
I cant find any pattern so far, but will try to find one the next days.
I do see the issue with Revive 1.9.2 and the new 3.2.0. - so it doesnt depend on this version.
I found that the 3DOF vs. 6DOF issue most likely is caused either by bad environment lighting,
or because the WMR room boundary setup dialogue wasn't done.
Yap, usually, when I'm stuck in the 3DOF, I it's usually because the lightening is different, or my desk is messy. I usually recalibrate and it works well.

Hi, ryanwoodie,

I am very interested in your XCSoar-LK8000-hotkeys.
When I use LK8000, what shall I set for Device model in the Device configuration?
Instead that XCSoar needs xci file, LK8000 already has different kinds of keyboad assignment, such as Keyboad A/B/C or QWERTY KBRD.

Naoki
Naoki, I will have to look at how LK8000 handles things and perhaps update it. All the basic keys (up,down,right,left,enter,F1,etc) should be working, however.

Thanks, ryanwoodie,

I used to use LK8000 on Android tablet with "vysor" to show it on my PC and transfer to VR. So, I used android controller to handle LK8000.

But, if I can use LK8000 on the PC itself, it would be quite handy. I would try to use basic keys to control LK8000.

Naoki, I did an update that should add fairly full support for LK8000: https://github.com/ryanwoodie/XCSoar-LK8000-hotkeys

I finally solved my issues with Condor 2 and HP Reverb G2! :D

Condor 2 was crashing a lot only when using VR. If I was using the monitor I did not have any issue. I tried to change all the settings and to have the minimum of stability the quality was greatly reduced (frequency 60Hz; picture side 40%, etc). I reset the PC to factory, reinstalled only aviation related software (I only use this PC for Condor 2, X-Plane, SkyDemon and Skysight) but the problem persisted. Contact Condor team and HP support and no one was able to solve my issue. I was becoming desperate because I bought a fairly expensive setup for running Condor 2 and X-Plane in VR and it was not working.

After many weeks of testing different things I finally found the issue. It was a bad configuration of the Omen Gaming Hub! It was accelerating only Steam VR. After adding Condor 2 and Windows Mixed reality I was able to increase the quality without having any crash issues.

I am again a happy man! :D

Hello,

I had an issue after I patched to 2.20 but I did not play for a long time. Now I tried again and I still have the same bug. I reinstalled the game, still there. I have the version of Revive listed in the file that says how to configure condor with reverb.

The bug :
Everytime Condor loaded the map and I am in the game, everything works just fine. After 3-4 seconds, the image freeze in the reverb G2. If I switch the view to outside, it does not freeze, if I hit F1, it will work again for a few seconds. Weirdly enough, if I press ESC to show the menu, it works also. It is not practical though.

Anyone had a similar problem ? How did you solve it ?

EDIT : When I fly with TAB, the problem is not present neither. Also, when I mirror on the screen, the problem is still there but not on the screen, only in the headset.

In the post CondorPatch220 I noted on january 3

"Back with my problem after patch 2.20 with the combination in VR : Oculus/Steam/Revive.
It was perfect in 2.18
After more tries it appears that for me the VR freezes when there is nothing written or appearing more than the lanscape.
The hud toggles freezes the VR. But when I am offline, when the indication start windows..disappears, VR frozen. If I move the flaps it is unfrozen the time flaps n is written. If I call the game menu, the fly is unfrozen. Everything written unfreezes the VR. As I have no problem except hud toggle on line I think that the net little drawing appearing makes all works correctly."

I have flown many times after the 3/1/24 and allways the same problem: The hud toggle function freezes the VR. It shivers and I am frozen in.
- In online flight no problem as long as the net symbol appears, when I try hud toggle : frozen. I am obliged to keep the indication start window n minutes until zero. (please in condor 3 put it elsewhere !! for VR)
- Off line I have managed to have the "cockpit view" allways on (thank you antimicrox) and with that I have no problem.
Even if nothing has changed on the VR support, the problem dates from the 2.20 update. May be something else has been changed which has, by an unforeseen consequence.
This is exactly my issue. Did you solve it ?

How do you manage to have "cockpit view" always on ?

I had the same issue when I installed the version 3.20. I did what is written here https://www.condorsoaring.com/forums/vi ... 3&start=15 and it worked.

Anyone has an idea of what I could do ? Sorry to insist, but I have not been able to fly for a long time now, and I miss it

Hello,
Here is how I solved the problem.
First download Antimicrox
https://sourceforge.net/projects/antimicrox/
Then have a stick button used for the “cockpit view” command. This button is not designed in the Condor setup for Cockpit view. A keyboard key has to be designed (F1 in standard mode)
Start Antimicrox
In the stick view in antimicrox select the button and ask to send the cockpit view command of Condor (determined in “setup - Input- Assign control” of Condor( F1 in standard mode)) in Toggle + Turbo mode. In this mode Antimicrox send the command repeatedly and cockpit view is always written.
Save the config of antimicrox.
After for each flight you have to start Antimicrox and push the cockpit view button.

I hope this will enable you to fly alone as for me and that this problem will be solved soon (in C3....)

Having played with this a bit I have a theory of what the bug is.

Condor appears to have a 2D text layer on top of the 3D view. Several things can be displayed on that 2D layer, join time, race start time, turnpoint names when turnpoint helpers are on, the contestant list, flap position. Probably others. If anything is displayed on that text layer the glitch does not happen.

My guess, as a coder for many years, is that there is a list/table of 2D objects that isn’t being cleared properly when the last item is removed. Given that it only happens in VR my guess is it’s in the Revive code.

NOTE: I do not have access to the code and I could certainly be wrong in this analysis but it fits the behavior seen.
