How is the Quest 2 performance nowadays? I currently have a ryzen 5 3600 with 32gb ram and a rtx 2070 super and I'm holding off on the purchase of condor until I know exactly what I'm buying in terms of VR performance as I am planning to fly in VR.

You will be fine with that set up - very happy with my set up (3500x, 16gb, 1660Ti) now things have matured, solid 90 FPS most of the time and a very usable 45FPS ASW fallback. You will need to use the Revive inject method, but once set up with the utility, it is just a single icon to start Condor VR. Very pleased with the Quest 2 overall.

Thanks, when I saw your reply I instantly bought the game and have been having a blast tonight at the slovenia map, I'm now downloading the alps map. Thanks a lot and happy flying!

Hello,

I am still having troubles with my Quest 2 running Condor. It was absolutely brilliant untill the update in December.
I've tried the Steam/Revive option, but when I drag the Condor App over the Revive injector nothing happens.
What step do I miss?

Which version of Revive are you using? (I am using 1.8.1) I found the Revive Helper utility (see elsewhere on this site) much easier to use that the drag / drop method.

I’ve downloaded the latest version (2.1.1). I don’t know if, and how I can download the 1.8.1 version.

I've tried the 1.8.1version, and the helper option but both without result.
I'm pretty clueless in what I'm missing here.
I Can fly if I use Condor 2 itself (framerate is pretty ok, but not what it used to be).

Curious.

My versions / details are:

PC - 3500x, 16Gb, GTX 1660Ti - Windows 10 V 20H2

Oculus app version 25.0.0.57.658
Quest 2 SW v 23.0.0.87.517.260511599 (latest as of today's date) (set to 90Hz / Rendering Resolution 3616 x 1840)
Link connections via USB 3 - test shows 2.4 Gbps
Steam VR 1.15.19
Condor2 Helper V1
Revive 1.8.1
Condor 2.1.6

Works like a charm, using the Revive method. I can only compare it with the Rift and Rift S and it's a lot smoother and sharper.

I've had the most luck with 1.8.0 myself: https://github.com/LibreVR/Revive/releases/tag/1.8.0

Don't worry about Revive Helper Tool, until you get revive injecting Condor properly.

Try to launch it by right-clicking the revive icon on the tool bar (after starting revive)), and choosing "Inject", then choosing Condor.exe file - I've had that work before when drag and drop didn't

edit: oh, and make sure to uninstall the previous revive before installing 1.8.0

Hello Ryan and Chris,

thanks for the advice. I've installed the 1.8.0 version. But after right clicking on the icon I do not get a "Inject" option.
I think I am missing some setting or something.
The computer itself should be good since it did run super smooth before the update.
It's a Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB, GTX1660 Super, Windows 10.

Anthony.

Hello,

I just succeeded to get Condor 2 on my Quest 2 by adding condor in the steam screen. Very impressive !!! But the landscape scrolling is poor and I get a works road sign on the screen.
So I would try the revive method. I have downloaded revive 1.8.0 and I have now the revive dashboard shortcut on my desktop. When I open it I have a Revive overlay pannel with 4 pictures. I do not see any "inject" possibility and I dont understand how to do it.

Any help will be welcome
Best regards

JLN

Why is revive necessary? I use the Quest2 via the USB-C link cable and it works like a charme. On top you can use the Oculus Tray Tool (OTT) for setting SuperSampling, Bitrate, ASW, etc . ....

Is revive for wireless use via Virtual Desktop?

Hello JLN,

I thought I had the same problem. But I was looking in the wrong place
For the “inject” option you have to look in the lower right hand corner (near your network symboligy). You can right-click on the Revive symbol, then you get a “inject” option.
Condor runs smooth now. But I am facing a new issue now... It runs smooth for about 10 minutes, and freezes after that.
Haven’t had an opportunity to troubleshoot this issue yet.

Anthony.

Hello

Thanks Isartaler you are right . I had a superb flight using oculus soft. As I understand OTT has to be downloaded apart. I will try.

Thanks also Anthony_S. Thanks to you I have discovered the revive injection. I will try it but if there is no difference the oculus way is simpler.

Also Is there a way to ajust the light in the quest, because the landscape was a little too dark, especially under the clouds.

Best regards
JLN

The inject method makes the experience less juddery. If you already have 'buttery smooth' then great news! What hardware do you have??

Thanks
