Sound when using Oculus Rift

Hi

How do I get the sound to come out the normal speakers instead of the Rift ear phones?

My default sound replay is the speakers as my HMD earphones are faulty.

Hi Jim -Before you start the flight go to the speaker symbol on your windows task bar and click - you will see all the options of available sound cards - it will be set to oculus Rift , but then reselect the sound card for your PC and should fix the problem . When you start Oculus Service at bootup the system sound card usually sets itself to Rift .

Is your Rift still in warranty ? there is a problem with copper ribbon wire breaking in time - but also it can hep to remove then reinstall headphones and screw them up as tightly as you can . I was very lucky when this happened to me I got a replacement Rift well out of warranty - i guess they Oculus learned the strength of Australian consumer laws .

You can also mirror the audio to the speakers by selecting the option. It's accessed via the Oculus client>devices>headset
