Great to see VR is being looked at, unfortunately I'm a vive user myself so rift support won't help.

Will there be vive support in future?
I'm sure there will. They only recently became aware of OpenVR (not SteamVR), and that it does not at all req being distributed by Steam to utilize. In light of that I'm sure they will support that SDK, because between Vive, WMR and many other headsets more than half of VR HMD in circulation are not Rift and use that SDK.

It didn't help that early on people kept conflating the issue of Steam distribution with supporting VR, but the two are completely different subjects and the entire point of OpenVR was to prevent 'walled garden' access in the first place once Oculus was bought by Facebook.

My assumption is the devs started with Rift because it's more ubiquitous with VR unless you are already an enthusiast and more importantly that's what the 'other guys' were showing off support for and getting press for in the latest issue of Gliding International

Luckily any work done to support Oculus SDK can (normally) be translated into the OpenVR SDK with ease, which of course is freely provided and maintained by Valve https://github.com/ValveSoftware/openvr

I start my first glider flight in 1 week.

I would so like to have the opportunity to review my classes and deepen them when I get back from my flight. to spend the time before I get there.

I send a lot of positive energy to condor team, The work you've done is incredible, it misses more than the vr for almost the perfection.

courage !

This is my first post and I'd like to say that oncoming VR is what made me buy Condor 2. Yes, its physics of course as well, but VR is just as essential for flight sims in 2018 as far as I am concerned :)

Looking forward to it greatly, and now I'm off to set up large screen and tracking to fly condor 2 in Oculus desktop mode 8)

Hello all, I'm a pilot but haven't been soaring for a while. I run mainly racing Sims and stumbled here through xsim forums. Was going to buy this but missing VR support is essential for me. Hope to see it added this year.

This sound so intriguing that I went out last weekend and picked up an Oculus Rift. And while waiting, there's Google Earth VR to "fly" around in, though it's not really the same.

Perfect! Thank you very much in advance. I'm already using Condor 2 in VR via VorpX and it works quite well but native VR support will make Condor pretty much perfect in my opinion!

I was asking for an aerobatic glider -> you (swiftly) gave me the swift.
I was also requesting VR support -> soon you will deliver that too.
Slowly running out of wishes... Oh wait... What about a real life glider expansion pack? :D

Still Rift only or there is a chance for OpenVR/SteamVR to use with Vive and WMR headsets?
