Condor 1 VR

Hi guys,

Good news for VR addict, since this night, first alpha demo of VR4Condor is available for download

It's here http://lineofcode.freeboxos.fr/vr4condor/info.php

It's only for V1, I know, but until the V2...

it works,but in VR-mod issue with joysticks (no works axis)
Argh, sorry for that, I didn't try joystick since 5 months (FFVV Demo St Auban) at this time It was running with sdk 0.8.0 from oculus and with a DK2.
Since that date I did all work and tests with a simple mouse ;-)
What type of joystick? Oculus Device or Standard Device that you used and that worked in Condor Classic Mode ?

What do you mean by increasing resolution ? What is your setup ?
HMD Type ?
HMD/Window Ratio ?

Did you try +/- keys to see better the Panel ?

You can set supersampling in oculus debug tool, which can be found by default at c:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusDebugTool.exe

If it is working like it is supposed to, then in-game resolution does not matter. Only for displaying mirror image on your monitor.

Hum, I didn't use this tool yet.
Actually, when you set 1 in HMD Ratio it's already an oversampled resolution regarding the oculus native display.
I will look about that even if, for FPS, I doubt that's a good idea to increase to much resolution because of bridge between DX7 and DX11.

and if I set monitor res 3840x2160 , I can choose enotther settings :D

I'm not sure what it will do with your hack and can't even test it since I do not own C1... Guess I'll have to wait for native support in C2 to get my fix :D
Anyway in almost every title for VR I've ever tried, supersampling is almost essential. Most of the titles nowadays have that setting implemented in-game but you can always defer to this debug tool and override it on the api level. Settings higher than 2 don't make much sense, but even 1.5 can make a night & day difference. Especially in simulators, where you have to be able to read gauges and resolve small details in terrain.

not working with Oculus Degug Tool supersampling.Condor running without VR

Sin,

As you saw the max window ratio available in CondorVR Panel is dependant on your current virtual screen resolution.
In the Condor Graphics Setup Panel the resolution you see is the size of the window that condor will create on your screen.
That resolution will be the standard Oculus HMD rendering resolution per eye*winRatio + (6, 29)

After that in HMD, it not correlated to your window setup, so when you preset 1 in HMD Ratio, you have something like 1344x1600 per eye for a native hmd resolution of 2160/2 x 1200 = 1080x1200 per eye. It's already 1.33 gain factor.

I will try to add more than "1" in CondorVR HMD Ratio, and will release it if that's ok

in OculusDebugTool if activated monitor pixel upscale , we can see in Condor 0.89 supersampling
(OculusDebugTool start running after run CondorVR)
