I will try to add more than "1" in CondorVR HMD Ratio, and will release it if that's ok

YOU ARE A GENIUS !!!!!!

I dreamed for years about it Condor in VR. Now it is true !!!!! I buy your software inmediately when it will be possible. Small recomendation: with F10/11 it is possible to adjust the scale of FOW and cockpit - this is amazing !!!!!

WOW !!!! I am so happy !!!!

Thanks

Hi , this really sounds good .
With the f10/F11 key are you able to change game FOV to matches the 90 degree horizontal FOV of the CV1 Rift ? I heard some complaint somewhere that Condor 1 FOV was too narrow and not matching real field in VR ?

Hi Mark, not sure to understand what you mean,
VR4Condor overload original horizontal and vertical FOV(s) of Condor to be in accordance with CV1 or DK2 FOV(s).

F11/F22 keys decrease or increase the distance between the point of view of left eye and right eye (IPD). The effect done is modification of the scale of what you see. With that you can have impression to be in a bigger cockpit. It can help to see better gauge without moving the head point of view.

numpad +/- keys shift the head position in front or in back inside the cockpit. It's another way to see better or less the gauge of the cockpit panel.

and if I set monitor res 3840x2160 , I can choose enotther settings :D
Sin,

As you saw the max window ratio available in CondorVR Panel is dependant on your current virtual screen resolution.
In the Condor Graphics Setup Panel the resolution you see is the size of the window that condor will create on your screen.
That resolution will be the standard Oculus HMD rendering resolution per eye*winRatio + (6, 29)

After that in HMD, it not correlated to your window setup, so when you preset 1 in HMD Ratio, you have something like 1344x1600 per eye for a native hmd resolution of 2160/2 x 1200 = 1080x1200 per eye. It's already 1.33 gain factor.

I will try to add more than "1" in CondorVR HMD Ratio, and will release it if that's ok
Sin,

I did some test about that but not directly with the debugtool but I think it's the same.
By default, with the lib1.24 and a CV1 and a pixelperpixel set to 1.0 the resolution per eye is 1344x1600.
With DX7 I read somewhere that the max width or height was 2048
so 1.28 or 1.27 should work since 1.28 * (1344x1600) = (1720.32x2048).
So I tested 1.28 in hard and it was working but the framerate was not good (31 Condor fps)
I tested 1.29 and it failed, so it means that's the limit is the 2048 pixels of DX7

For info 1.10 was more acceptable in term of framerate (41 Condor fps).
For info 1.0 (45 Condor fps). The more confortable since it's half framerate of CV1

HI, please can you add some new ratios (or adjustable ratio) for tests (more than 1.0) ? Thanks.

I am testing it - is really amazing, only the time is short for task...longer would be better :-) In some photorealistic sceneries it is as real -- this is masterpiece of software... In some 3-4 y with better resolution HMD it will be heaven!

Thanks

Hi Peter,

Did you try some values between 1.0 et 1.28 with the oculsdebugtool ?

No, i dont know exactly how i can use it, but can try. I increased AA 8x, and switched supersampling in Nvidia drivers but i dont know if it works.

Thanks

I tested supersampling with debug tool - was no better with 1,2 (Alpi2 scenery) It looks that default is better...bu i have 780Ti graphics and framerate cca 30.

Thanks

I have some basic issues:

-Condor VR doesn't recognize the GTX960 Card (too old?). Just report Intel HD Graphics 4600
-What is the "Condor Player" request?

Thanks.

Ok I have a just a little better with my config (980TI). I have 41 fps with 1.10. But I prefer too have 45fps. So As you I keep default value.
Don't forget that the needed bandwith is a sqare of the ratio (we are playing with surface).

So I will keep my software as it (oculusdebugtool.exe can do the job if realy needed)

PS : Since textures are running along the pci bus for the DX7-DX11 bridge, you can try to overclock your pci bus frequency. But take care with your hardware. I put 110MHz instead 100MHz but downgrade the processor frequency multiplyer to avoid to stress my processor.

JP

Hi,

What is your hardware configuration? Do you have two graphics devices installed in your computer ?
If it's the case, is your big one (GTX960) active ? Did you plug the sector if it's a laptop?
Could you take a screenshot ?

I develop/test the software too on a macbook pro 2015 Win 10 with two grahics cards inside and that's work (with the DK2).

The condor player request is the selection of one of pilot list defined in your Condor. Since the condor pilot's configuration is a little overloaded just before lauching condor in VR mode, you have to define it.

JP

What I know sometimes is problem with laptops with Optimus technology, without load for graphic procesor is working automatically onboard graphic.

Thanks for the player. Easy than expected.

Here is my Device Manager and Nvidia control panel and VR screen.

Many Thanks.
