Error initializing Direct3D
Hello, after the last Condor update I can't use the VR anymore and the error is this: "Error initializing Direct3D"
I use HP Reverb G2 with Revive.
I have read some discussions where it is suggested to uninstall and reinstall the Oculus application, I have changed different versions of Revive etc. without getting any results.
this is starting to get frustrating ... money practically thrown in the trash

did you get the problem fixed? I have the same problem, one day everything is fine and the next I get that message. Updated drivers but still no good.

I uninstalled NVIDIA 3600, Condor, all C++ visuals in windows (as someone suggested) and reinstalled all the programs and also updated all the drivers in Manager to no avail.
I wonder if the Condor team can look into this matter and come up with suggestions or better a solution for this ubiquitous issue that affects thousands of Condor users?

I have the same problem, I hope for a quick solution . . .

This error can occur when you have multiple videocards and Condor uses the wrong card. Make sure Condor uses the right videocard (google how to do this for your videocard).
But maybe this is just one of many reasons for this error...

Thanks! Can you be more specific. I watched one video. I'm only seeing my NVidia card. Condor shows the correct graphics card in settings so it appears to be using the correct card and not what ever is built in to the CPU and mother board.

Then the wrong videocard is not your problem. Then an obvious one: do you have the Oculus software running in the background?

Thank you Joost2, you solved my problem.
I have 2 graphic cards but they give no problems, the culprit, in my case, is the Oculus software that was updated.
When I allow the link to the PC when starting my Quest2, the Oculus software starts and I can play Condor2.
If I start the Oculus software before I link the Quest2 to the PC, I get the Direct3D error.

Well, it is more starting Condor2 when the Oculus software is running that gives the problem.

I have the same problem as well. I just updated my Condor software and now get the error initializing Direct 3D error message when trying to use my Oculus in VR. Before the update it worked fine.

On my set up, starting Oculus on the PC, using Oculus link to get to the PC and then starting up Condor from the Oculus link home screen seems to work.

I got it working by creating a shortcut through revive, and using said shortcut to start the game instead
(start revive > right lower corner of screen > right click on revive > create shortcut > find the game's .exe)
