It looks very much like the flight I proposed on Tchin-tchin on 25. June (same coast, at bit more to the South)

Aren't the Astirs (single and two-seaters) nicknamed the concrete swans, not only for their performance ?
In some circumstances that may help : I remember a day with terrible turbulence at Grenoble, the Club-Astir was the only single-seater that could be kept safely behind the towplane. All wooden ones had to release because getting into very nasty positions (e.g. beside the towplane  )

More realistic how? I've heard many people (usually actual pilots) say that the flight dynamics in Condor are ridiculously good.

Or did you mean the crazy online tasks that people create for ridge racing? That there are real places in the world where you can see 50 km/h winds against cliff faces?

I think he means people flying ridiculously dangerous stunts like the vid OP posted. In condor it has no consequences, IRL it doesn't until it does :p

at this point I think every glider school on earth should have a valve index, a really awesome stick & throttle and use condor for teaching. It's ridiculous how realistic this sim is. that being said,

flying like OP video is suicidal.
