Updated higher contrast relective gauge sets

Post by Big_Al » Sun Jul 13, 2008 1:35 pm

I've created a set of higher contrast reflective gauges for the LS10, also darkened the cockpit texture slightly.
Will attach the texture files below for anyone that wants to give them a go.

Should work same for all the LS sailplanes, but remember to make a backup of any of your own gauge files first, then unpack the two rar files into your planes/ls10/gauges folder.

There is a problem with uploading them to teh tasks databasae home, it does not allow for a full zipped set of gauges, you would have to uplaod each gauge separately each time. Some are generic but some are glider-specific. Unless anyone knows the guys that run the CTDB, maybe they can add an option for uploading a full custom gauge set for a sailplane?

why is there more blue areas?? I think, that blue reflex isnt so good as clear light, how you have these in previous version...but only my opinion.

Edit: LS is perfect imho or it is genarates by Condor canopy reflections??

There are some changes in colour saturation due to sun positioning in-game. Different sun positions will make the colours look a little different.

Here's the ASW28 set:

And i must say at this stage, thanks to Robber Duck for the speed gauges on CTDB which are truly excellent, I just changed the contrast/darkness and added the reflection in photoshop but basically the speed gauges are his work ;)
Note: these files are good for the 27 as well, only you don't get the flap marker positions on the speed gauge.

Big Al, could you add flap marker for ASW27 and modify its panel texture as you did with LS and Discus? It's looks awesome!
