DG808 - Cockpit Shots

Post by BenFest » Fri Dec 23, 2016 10:10 am

Hey guys,

I need your help. For modelling the DG808 I need some interior sizes. May someone of you has a DG800 or DG808 in his club and go there with inch stick and take some cockpit photos :) Just PM me if you can help.

Have a nice Christmas time,
Ben

Hi Ben

This might be of use as it does include a good shot of the instrument pod - you'll have to work the scale out using the instrument's diameters though :-).

Also worth noting for a font of information (including pictures) that all the Sailplane & Gliding magazines (including its forerunners) over the years (1930 to 2009) and VGC News (1973 to 2003) have incredibly been scanned and are accessible and searchable from amongst other links the B.G.A.'s own site at:

https://www.sailplaneandgliding.co.uk/archive

That may be of some use.

Happy Xmas and New Year to all.

Steve

P.S. Apologies in advance to any pilots that are interested/foolish enough to look at the latter of the two links and thereby lose too many hours trawling through nostalgia :D

For those who think another plane will never get off the ground..

Ben is my number 2 in modelling for V2. He has already done some great things which I can't tell you about yet.
