Re: Arcus for the new Condor Sim
I have never told anyone to make planes for Condor.
You guys make what you like.. I will tell you if I am already making one the same, or someone else has done it.

But when? I did wonder about that Arcus though - do we really need it? What about the ASK 21 which already exists as a model, but we all know where that is. It seems utterly pointless to encourage people to create yet more gliders to disappear into a black hole. Kind of cynical really.

Did you just break the rules of Condor development by turning our fading hope into a sense of anticipation?OXO wrote:I have the ASK21 model, and it will appear after V2

The first time you'll get a Microsoft product, that doesn't suck, will be the day they start producing vacuum cleaners.

Re: Arcus for the new Condor Sim
Why after V.2? You have the ASK21 model, all it needs is the aerodynamics tidying up. Why not get on with at least that instead of keeping us waiting for 9 years for V.2. Presumably the two plane packs out now were largely your work (the aero side) so obviously that did not need as much work as V.2 is needing. You would shut up a lot of the adverse comment on here if you just got on with another plane pack.OXO wrote:I have the ASK21 model, and it will appear after V2

Re: Arcus for the new Condor Sim
Because we have decided to put the effort into V2 instead of spending our valuable time on another plane pack.
ask21 won't make it into V2 becaue we already have 2 x 2 seaters in it, and we felt that it would be bad to displace another single seater for it.

I know this isn't a democratic organisation, but would you like me to set up a poll on your last statement?OXO wrote:Because we have decided to put the effort into V2 instead of spending our valuable time on another plane pack.

I've read some provocative rubbish in my time on this forum, but dear OXO, your last effort takes some beating!

We choose features based on what we think will be popular, not what one man thinks is useful.

Re: Arcus for the new Condor Sim
Are you prepared to put that statement to the test? I dare you to poll the members on that point. How do we know what is 'popular' if we don't know the alternatives you are going to put in the pack? I detect just a trace of arrogance here.OXO wrote:We choose features based on what we think will be popular, not what one man thinks is useful.

It's not a democracy. We use our knowledge and experience of flying and software development to make the choice.
And that's my last word on this.
