ASK21 (3D Models Submitted)

Here are prelim sketches done this evening. Better quality will appear once I've bought an ASK21, a 1:32 scale model by Revel-Monogram

Hey you,
Great work so far. I'm longing to the day to fly a 21 and 13 in Condor.
But for me the rear Canopy looks to short. :?: check that please.

These are just preliminary designs, just to see if I've still got the nack, its been a while since I've done planes as 3D models.

I have myself plenty of gripes with the current model. I'm looking for better drawing, photos etc to resolve queries that I have. Once I've got a plastic scale model, I'll throw some considerable time into this project. Hopefully 'the other half' will understand :)

It's a begin :-)

It's a bit an ASK21 and Twin 1 ;-)

Good luck!

@Cumulus7

Thanks :), That would help me a lot. Please could you get me several shots of the cockpits, landing gear, rear tail and canopy. I'm off to the club later next week, I don't know if I'll get time to photo our '21. I'm hoping to get something of the external 3D model by sometime next week.

Updated Model. Getting that scaled model has help, some minor adjustment required, but this the current model

Looks excellent, especially the airfoil profile.

I'd lose the mainwheel fairing - most K21s already have IRL. (Bet it took you ages to do.)

Don't know how your program works but, looking at your previous posts, I'd delete the points halfway between the wing trailing edge and the fin, fill in the blank face and make one long extrusion to the end of the fuselage. The rear end of a K21 is a simple round tube.

I think your first model of the rear canopy was better (see attachment.)

Keep the wheel-fairing :) that's how we have it on our club.
I'm getting quite handy repairing them because they ain't that solid,
but it is stil a part of the ASK-21 wich you get when you buy it.
Think positive, flaps negative.
