Note that the wikipedia entry for the ASW-19 lists the max gross for the original
model of the 19. The B model had an increased max gross of 450kg I believe.

With the ASW 19B version the maximum allowed amount of water ballast increased and the take-off weight can be raised to 454kg

Hi OXO,
Not to be pushy but will there be more planepacks to follow by your design ? If yes, will you consider a 20m 2seater pack ( example : Duo-Discus, DG-1000, DG-500 or even Arcus ) ?? Also as a natural result to a "yes" would be a follow-up on the other classes like 2seat open-class, more 18m etc,etc !
If no,...........
Very nice work btw!
/3W.

Re: Club Class Plane Pack Development thread
Don't forget that adding a plane in Condor requires more than 3d modeling (which is already a lot)! For the Arcus, it might be quite difficult to get the flight data...

Re: Club Class Plane Pack Development thread
OXO can you clarify this please: modeling refers to the 3D model at least, but does it include the flight models?Condor Team is pleased to announce we have joined forces with Chris Wedgwood (you may better know him as OXO). He will help us with modelling and has already started to work on a new plane pack which will contain 5 club class planes (Libelle, ASW-19, LS-4, Jantar Standard 3 and ASW-15).

Assuming Uros likes my work on the club class I hope to continue with more planes, yes.3W wrote:Hi OXO,

Uros does the flight model physics.

Hi OXO,
This is awesome news! I can't wait for the release. If you are ever looking for test pilots, I fly a ASW-15B in RL and would be more than happy to put yours through its paces. Likewise, if you ever need pictures or design details just let me know.

Cheers,
Talisman (South Africa)

That's very helpful. I do need cockpit pictures. Both sides, front and back, showing all small details. Also need good pictures of the wheel.

OXO - I have a 50% share in a Libelle 201B (without winglets). If you need pics let me know what of and I'll see what I can do.

The libelle model is finished, but..Suvv wrote:OXO - I have a 50% share in a Libelle 201B (without winglets). If you need pics let me know what of and I'll see what I can do.
What we really need is a description of what it's like to fly.. handling etc.

Re: Club Class Plane Pack Development thread
It is a dream to fly, very nice smooth reaction to aileron and elevator input but has a sensitive rudder and, in comparison to other gliders, poor airbrakes unless you fly at the correct speed on approach - around 46-50 knots, any higher than that and the performance of the airbrakes deteriorates.
All controls are light to the touch but you find yourself making minor rudder adjustments very frequently.
I love flying it. Because it is sensitive and smooth you feel you are part of it. My experience of other glass machines is not extensive but I know that the clubs Astir by comparison feels like a heavy tank.
Others will probably give you better comparisons as it will be probably easier for you to get a comparison with gliders you are familiar with.

I used to have one.. we called it the "Concrete Swan".
Thanks for the handling comments. Uros will be pleased..
