Post by PhillW (S5) » Sun May 24, 2009 5:39 pm

I saw a picture in the Internet and inspired me to make a Solar Skin for the ASG29.

Yes. I was actually trying to get the solar cells closer togetehr but 1px closer to the border of the Template makes the cell stretch and look really blurry.

I think you've done a great job.

Your difficulty is caused by how the texture is wrapped round the model.

The textures are designed to have best resolution at mid-line of the fuselage, as the ASG29 doesn't usually have detail on the top and bottom.

I would love to know the difference between the Paints from the FSX and FS2004 and the CS.

I'm gonna try some stuff which could get me to possibilty to work with more details. :)

That is a probleme that was mainly caused by the low resolution of the paintkit which I figured out by making the resolution from 1024x1024 to 4096x4096.

Follow this Link and have a look for the high res paint: ;)

what about not only a solar powered ASG, but a solar & engine - powered ASG -> ASG 29 E ?

Any developpers, who would like to think about that and try out a model?
