DG-808 no LX?

Post by skaerlund » Tue Nov 05, 2024 7:36 pm

Hi
Any chance the DG-808 will get LX? I loved flying it in Condor 2, but i think, and i know i'm not alone, that planes without LX, is....boring? The experience having LX in your glider is phenomenon!

It doesn't fit in the panel  . It would only fit in landscape mode, and we don't support that.

<OT> maybe I'm nearly alone, but I think flying with flight computer is boring. Finding the way using a map and looking out of the plane, calculating the final glide "by foot" and coming home in the right height nevertheless, centering a lift only with a vario without a colored track on a screen is for me the real spirit of gliding. Ok I'm old, and I don't like the "Mc Donalds kitchen sound" in a modern glider. But I like the DG808 too and I recommend to fly a glider "offline" sometimes, it's really worth the experience ;-)</OT>

I'm too young to find that interesting

You could get LX8000 in the future...i don't know if that is too big of a challenge. One step at a time, so no rush :)

Good reply, I expected that ... ;-)

Luckily Condor gives you nearly all possibilities to fly like you want, with some exceptions: No bug swipers on an SG38, no water ballast in a Grunau Baby and not yet LX in a DG808 :-D
