DG808 without pda
The DG808 without pda shows the holder of the pda, maybe this can be fixed in C3.
Thanks

Re: DG808 without pda
Same "issue" with the DG101G
Flying without a PDA in Condor does not mean simulating that you have forgotten the device at home, but simulating a time when there was no such thing. Back then, we navigated without electronic assistance and didn't need a mount for it either.
And I was very bad in doing that, but I'm happy to have understood it now, nearly 40 years too late. Therefor I enjoy every flight without PDA (used it last time maybe 3 years ago), and I would enjoy it a little bit more without that holder (but only a very little bit)

Re: DG808 without pda
BTW, offtopic to the thread, but it's my thread
, recognized it first time today: If you control the lever for the airbrake, maybe 50 % out, after a while the hand goes back on your leg. IRL the air brake will then go to 100 % out (I only know it from the older K(a)-planes - Ka2b, K6E, K7, K8b, but I guess it's the same with modern planes). So IRL you are not allowed to release the lever, but in Condor you can do it for to do other things with that hand.
In my opinion all actions with the left hand should be blocked while the airbrakes are not full in or full out. The other consequence could be that the airbrakes goes out to 100 %, but if you use a throttle quadrant the lever on the quadrant doesn't match to the position in Condor, so that is not the best idea.
The same is with the stick. If you do things with the right hand (f.x. open/close water ballast), the stick stays where it is. I don't know how they do it IRL, maybe they keep the stick with the knees/legs in position or use the left hand for levers on the right side of the cockpit. But I know that IRL you only have to hands. I tried to land an SF25B after the cross country flight to get the license for motor gliders, left hand on the lever for airbrake, right hand on the stick I saw that the throttle is too high (after a very long approach with 1500 turns/minute I forgot that I have to set the engine to 1000 turns/minute). In a reflex and missing the third hand I took the right hand, because the throttle is on the right side of the pilot. That costed the propeller and the engine (and I never flew that plane again). If I was higher than the 2 or 3 meters I was it could have been an even more serious crash.
What I will say is that I wish Condor would take care about that problem of us handicapped people which only have two hands. You can't do anything else if you have the hand on the airbrakes. So you have to set them in, do the forgotten thing and use the airbrakes after that again. Or even better don't forget something. We could learn that cheaper in Condor than I learned it IRL.
Thanks for reading
EDIT after writing: Ok, left hand to the stick and right hand to the levers on the right side. But you can't do that with the left hand on the airbrakes. It don't have to be animated in Condor (it's not worth it), but blocking all actions except stick when airbrakes are in use is my suggestion

Re: DG808 without pda
Modern planes the brakes close when you release them. That is more safe in case of accidental unlocking during launch or flight.6266 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 5:15 pmBTW, offtopic to the thread, but it's my thread, recognized it first time today: If you control the lever for the airbrake, maybe 50 % out, after a while the hand goes back on your leg. ASW19 and 20 too. If I will find more, I will post them ...
ASW15, Ka6, Libelle and Pegase are fine. I will check all other planes I have later

Re: DG808 without pda
No need to check. I've remoddeled the flight computer 3D model for Condor 3.

Re: DG808 without pda
Thanks to the whole team for the lot of work you have done. Did a short test flight right now, of course without pda, will come some questions or hints soon
