Is anyone working on Pipistrel Taurus Electro for Condor?
The Slovenian-made Taurus Electro has won many awards and is growing in popularity. It has some unique features that require additional training. There are twin main gear to allow taxiing and seating is side-by-side so the pilot is off centerline. Is anyone working on adding this to Condor? Thank you!

Not to my knowledge,
There is an aircraft with a similar configuration already in Condor. The Stemme S12 has the same gear and seating arangement. The engine and propeller concept is different though and it has much better performance both as a glider and on the engine.

I am following up on the subject, is it included in the list of motorized gliders?

If somebody makes the model it could be. A copy of blender is free

I did buy the Stemme S12 model for Condor and I have been using that. It is an approximation for some aspects of Taurus operations - although glides need to be done with gear down and spoilers open
. Last year MSFS 24 came out with a Taurus-M. With the motor off and retracted it is remarkably close to the handling of the Taurus Electro G 2.5 that I fly. Of course the atmospheric model doesn't compare to Condor so I still dream of a Taurus on Condor 3!

Its possible, but not soon as we have a queue of planes.bronchobill@mac.com wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2025 3:11 amI did buy the Stemme S12 model for Condor and I have been using that. What we need is a good 3d scan of the cockpit to get us started.

What technology is required to make a 3D scan? Is this something a non-expert could do?

Not sure what the "usual" procedure is, but with photogrammetry you can make a pretty good 3d model from a ton of regular photographs. I think it works a lot better with modern iphone/ipads that have a lidar, but even using just dozens of ordinary photos Ive gotten some good results.

We have a Miraco 3d scanner, which gives good results.
iPhone scanning is ok if you can do the scan with very simple trajectory. But that is difficult to do.
