Antares E 20, 21 and 23
Hi,
Soon I will start modeling the Antares E
I'm looking for pictures and measurements of the cockpit of the Antares 20E, 21E and 23E.
Does anyone in the community have access to this glider?
I'm already looking on the internet but I'm happy with all the additional images and info
from a real plane.
Thanks in advance,
Jan

Has the performance of the Antares got any better? I only know what the performance is like from Condor which doesn't stack up to the other 18m gliders.

This is one of the issues with new planes. We like to make them, but if they aren't the latest rocket ship, nobody flies them.
The other issue with these particular planes is availability of accurate polars.

There is a reason nobody flies the Antares 18 in competition. But the 20/21/23, especially with the electric propulsion might me an interesting addition to Condor.

Re: Antares E 20, 21 and 23
As a task setter I set an ALL class task with a max wing loading of 10lb/ft or 49kg/m recently and whilst the JS3-15 still just pipped the rest a Discus2a was hot on it's heals! If you apply a max wing loading to an 18m task, say 11.2lb/ft or 55kg/m then I think that'd even the playing field in Condor2 18m tasks. The DG808 being the the only glider to not be able to load up to that amount. I'm certainly going to be using wing loading restrictions in All class tasks and likely 18m tasks too more often now.
2018 - Silver Badge complete - Forgot I could claim for the 100km diploma flying an out and return
2019 - Get up to speed and aim for a 300km task?! maybe.....

I am also in the process of updating the 18S.
Can someone tell me the distance between the fuselage and the start of the airbrake and the length of the airbrakes
