Exterior model is pretty far along and probably wont change much other than some minor tweaking and adding details. Which is why I am making this thread.
I am looking to hopefully get some more pictures to use as reference, specifically for:
- Main and tail landing gear
- Top pivot of the rudder (There is a small gap there where it looks like the pivot would be visible)
- Control connections at the rudder
- Airbrakes
- Wingtips
- Seat back and wing join area of the cockpit, and any detailed cockpit pictures always help as well
If you can help, thank you, and I will try to keep this thread updated as the modeling progresses.
Re: SZD-55 Nexus

Don't have any picture but I just wanted to say that I support 100%, we need more "high handicap" club class gliders like the SZD55, ASW24, LS3...
Re: SZD-55 Nexus
Thank you for the pictures, just about everything seems to help.
Added in the ailerons and their fences today, all primary control surfaces are now modeled.

I am moderator of the SZD-55 user group. If you'd like to join, send an e-mail to: SZD-55usergroup+subscribe@groups.io . In particular, the "Spare Parts Katalogue- SZD-55" has drawings of most of what you may want.
I have put some pictures in Dropbox. If you send your e-mail by private message I'll give you access with a link (edit: provided link after PM exchange Mar 7).
- detail of tailwheel; rudder cable attachment; battery box (one photo). picture from the left side
- air vent control knob
- left and right mainpin attachment (two photos)
- lower cockpit forward of instrument pod (rudder pedals, bottom of canopy gas shock, pitot/static connection)
There are pictures of the top of the elevator and top rudder attachment (and top view of rudder cable attachment) in EASA AD 2018-0081 and some internal detail. I'll add it to the Dropbox.
My glider is at the airfield, currently snowed in 100km away (Canada). I have access to one across town (disassembled) and can take pictures as desired. Let me know what in particular and I can post them to the dropbox folder.
Cheers
Dan

Re: SZD-55 Nexus
First pass at the airbrakes. Still missing details but this is about as much as I could see from the pictures I had. Still could use some closeups of the airbrakes.
As for the FES, maybe later after the normal glider is finished. However it still seems to be in the prototype stage so I don't think there is enough information on it currently to really model it correctly.
Re: SZD-55 Nexus
Hi guys,
I have some pictures from the SZD-55 and contacts with SZD engineers & factory if needed.
Feel free to reach me PM.
Keep going the great work, it's one of my favorite glider!
Make sure to have those wings bending when flying fast or thermalling This cheap B787 is amazing
Have a great day,
Antoine

Hi, I have some more pictures for you:

When opening the link it will need a few seconds to load because of the file size.
(Please download the PDF-file, because I don't want to keep it for ever in my cloud.)
